BioWare has announced that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be launching on March 21st for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for their upcoming Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 DLC expansion, Road to Boruto, available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam on February 3rd.
The new trailer focuses on five new playable characters including Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, Mitsuki, Naruto Uzumaki (Road to Boruto version), and Sasuke Uchiha (Road to Boruto version). Each character comes with a new moveset for players to learn and master in Free Battle mode and the new story mode that follows the events of “Boruto: Naruto the Movie”.
Organizers have revealed the nominees for the 17th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards. Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine Productions, will return as host of the awards show for his sixth time.
Winners in all fourteen categories, including the new Best VR/AR Game category, will be honored at the Game Developers Choice Awards ceremony, taking place on Wednesday, March 1st at 6:30pm at the San Francisco Moscone Center during the 2017 Game Developers Conference in conjunction with the Independent Games Festival Awards. The ceremonies are available to attend for all GDC 2017 pass-holders and will be livestreamed on the GDC’s official Twitch channel at www.twitch.tv/gdc.
Leading the pack with six nominations is Inside, a 2D puzzle-platformer adventure developed and published by Playdead, an independent developer based in Denmark. Inside is Playdead’s follow-up to its critically acclaimed debut, Limbo which received top accolades from the IGF in 2010 and again at the Choice Awards in 2011. Inside is a finalist for Best Audio, Best Design, the Innovation Award, Best Narrative, Best Visual Art and Game of the Year.
Also making an impressive showing with five nods each are Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch and Campo Santo’s debut title Firewatch, a first-person mystery adventure. Blizzard was nominated for Best Audio, Best Design, Best Technology, Best Visual Art and Game of the Year for Overwatch, while Campo Santo received nods for Best Debut, the Innovation Award, Best Narrative, Best Visual Art and Game of the Year for Firewatch.
The field for Game of the Year is rounded out by Naughty Dog/Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which also picked up nominations in Best Technology, Best Narrative and Best Visual Art, and Arkane Studios/Bethesda Softworks’ Dishonored 2, also a nominee for Best Design.

Grey Box, Six Foot and indie developer Tequila Works today announced that RiME will launch this May on the PlayStation 4, as well as three new platforms: Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
RiME is a single-player puzzle adventure about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time.

During the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2016 in Tokyo, Square Enix announced that Stormblood, the second expansion pack for Final Fantasy XIV, will launch on June 20th. Players can pre-order the follow-up to Heavensward starting January 24th to receive exclusive bonuses.

Nicalis today announced The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ DLC is now available for purchase on Steam for $9.99. A 33% discount runs through the first week of release, and The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth owners will be able to purchase the game for $6.69.

Atlus and Persona 5 director Katsura Hashino are launching a new internal studio called Studio Zero. The studio is in the earliest of stages of development on a new fantasy RPG title, but a few things are apparent from the outset – it will be a complete departure from the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series, and a return to the roots of where the Japanese games industry began with fantasy role-playing games.
