Dontnod Entertainment’s new action RPG Vampyr today unveils a new cinematic trailer depicting the legends and tales of its mysterious protagonist, Dr. Jonathan Reid. Set in 1918 London during a deadly bout of the Spanish Flu that left London’s alleys and promenade’s wailing in agony, Dr Reid awakes having arrived home from serving in the Great War with a deathly new ailment: vampirism. A Doctor, Reid considers his affliction another disease. As he tries to understand and to live with it, he desperately tries to continue his life as a doctor, helping those stricken with flu.
When Vampyr releases in 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, it will be you who decides whether to shrug off his ghoulish reputation, or lay waste to London’s already troubled streets.
Techland today announced its second global Be the Zombie event for Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition. On the Christmas weekend (December 23rd – 26th), the sixth Community Bounty titled “Zombiefest #2” will be held. For the duration of the event, the rules of the competitive Be the Zombie mode change: Night Hunters cannot use Howls, Spits or Tackles while human players have to do without the Survivor Sense, making the hunt more tactical and stealthy. Use of flares, UV blocks and heals is also limited.
All “Zombiefest #2” participants will be awarded a Gold-tier weapon. Additionally, shortly after the event special ranks for both the victors and the defeated will be introduced to reflect the final result.
Fans can track the cumulative score of Hunters and Survivors live at dyinglightgame.com/bounties. The new ranks will be active for three weeks. All players across PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can take part.

Starting today, fans can experience the machine-ruled dystopia of action-RPG NieR: Automata, as Square Enix released a playable demo through the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4. Available now as a free download, the demo transports players to an abandoned factory, following android 2B’s mission to destroy a massive enemy weapon that lies within.
Additionally, a new trailer was released, showing off the upcoming Final Fantasy XV and Dragon Quest collaborations in which android 2B will be able to equip Noctis’s signature weapon, the “Engine Blade” from Final Fantasy XV and the “Cypress Stick” from the Dragon Quest series.
NieR: Automata will be available for the PlayStation 4 on March 7th and Steam in early 2017.
2K and Hangar 13 have released a free title update for Mafia III that adds the ability for players to compete in races, customize their cars, and more. Enter a series of races through the streets of New Bordeaux – six circuit lap races and six point-to-point races – to unlock customizations and a new car. Customize the cars in Lincoln’s fleet with a variety of decals, exhausts, spoilers, superchargers, and wheels. New outfits and a custom revolver are also available for Lincoln to use.
The Hangar 13 team is working on additional free updates as well as three paid story expansions.
2K and Firaxis Games today revealed that Jadwiga leads Poland in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. Jadwiga was the first female monarch of the Kingdom of Poland in the late fourteenth century and youngest daughter to Louis the Great.
Her reign began in 1384, with her early years being categorized by earning the respect and loyalty of Polish nobility, ruling side-by-side with Lithuanian king Wladyslaw II Jagiello. Jadwiga was an expert mediator, protected the poor, and was a devout Christian who later became canonized as a saint by the Roman Catholic Church in 1997. She founded a special college for Lithuanians in Prague but perhaps is best known for her work helping to restore the University of Krakow, which would go on to become the center of Polish culture.
The Poland Civilization and Scenario Pack is available starting today. This premium DLC adds Poland, leader Jadwiga, and new scenario, “Jadwiga’s Legacy”, to Sid Meier’s Civilization VI.

Ubisoft today announced that the T-Bone Content Bundle, the first add-on pack for Watch Dogs 2, is now available for download on PlayStation 4 for $9.99 and is included in the Season Pass. It will be available for Xbox One and PC on January 24th.
The T-Bone Content Bundle revolves around Raymond Kenney, AKA T-Bone, and includes his attire, as well as his modified school bus, complete with bulldozer blade for creating extra chaos. The Bundle also offers a new Mayhem co-op challenge, with a new enemy archetype – the Grenadier – that uses advanced weaponry and tactics.
The multiplayer features of the T-Bone Content Bundle, as well as the upcoming content packs, can be played in Guest Mode, meaning that players who own the DLCs can play co-op sessions with friends who do not own the DLC. This will keep the community united by allowing owners to continue playing co-op with their friends who do not own the DLC. Non-owners will be able to try the new content and co-op challenges before buying.
To celebrate the release of this DLC, players can participate in the T-Bone Chaos Event. This free event will run for four weeks, with each week bringing a new themed challenge through Ubisoft Club that gives players a chance to earn in-game currency and unique event rewards, like new car skins or a new bag for Marcus. Access the Ubisoft Club app in Marcus’ phone and select the special event challenge to participate.
Previously scheduled for a February 2017 release, NIS America today announced that both Touhou Genso Wanderer and Touhou Double Focus for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita have been delayed until March 21st.
XSEED Games today announced that the crowdfunded action platformer developed by WayForward, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, is now available. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game see retail releases today with the limited “Risky Beats” edition for a SRP of $29.99 USD. The Wii U “Risky Beats” edition will be available on December 27th.
The limited “Risky Beats” retail edition of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is packaged with a musical selections CD containing 30 songs from the game’s soundtrack. WayForward launched the digital PS4 and Wii U versions today on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop, respectively, for $19.99 USD. XSEED Games has launched the digital PS Vita release, which is now available from the PlayStation Store, also for $19.99.
Natsume today launched Wild Guns Reloaded for the PlayStation 4. The classic arcade-style shooter now features new playable characters, weapons, stages, and enemies, plus an all-new co-op mode, where you can play with up to 4 players. The game is available digitally and also has a limited physical release. Wild Guns Reloaded is being offered on the Natsume Amazon store, and will come with a limited edition retro Wild Guns logo keychain.
