Crimson Heist is Now Available in Rainbow Six Siege, Free Week Begins March 18th

Today, Ubisoft announced that Crimson Heist, the first season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 6, is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, including Ubisoft+. This new season brings the addition of the Argentinian operator Flores, the Border map rework, the new Gonne-6 secondary weapon and the Match Replay beta, amongst other updates. Additionally, players will be able to play Rainbow Six Siege and Crimson Heist for free from March 18th to March 25th.

Year 6 Season 1 comes with a brand-new Battle Pass, including 100 tiers and 131 rewards, available until May 25th. The Battle Pass includes a free and a Premium track available for 1200 R6 Credits. For the first time in Rainbow Six Siege history, the Premium Battle Pass will include the new operator Flores. Owners of the Premium Battle Pass can play with Flores immediately, while other players can unlock him with Renown or R6 Credits starting March 30th. New seasonal content including the Border map rework, Match Replay Beta, and the Gonne-6 are available right now for free and for all players.

In Crimson Heist, players will discover a brand-new attacker: Flores. Equipped with an original gadget called the RCE – Ratero Charge, Flores can deploy a remote-controlled explosive device at his feet and drive it through the map during a limited period of time until it detonates in a powerful explosion. Flores is armed with an AR33 or a SR-25 as a primary weapon and a GSH-18 as a secondary weapon. In addition to the new operator, players will have access to a reimagined Border map, which has been newly reworked with an interior balcony connecting the East staircase to Break room. The bathroom has also been extended to be connected to the Tellers. Players will play in a new challenging environment with some entries blocked, a reduced number of destructible walls and an additional outside staircase.

Jade Raymond Forms Haven, a New Studio Working on an Original IP for PlayStation

Jade Raymond, founder of Ubisoft Toronto and Motive Studios and one of the creative forces behind the Assassin’s Creed franchise, has announced the formation of Haven Entertainment Studios, a new game development studio based in Montreal, Canada. Raymond has assembled a world class team with over a decade of experience working together across multiple games and franchises. True to its name, the studio’s games will serve as havens for players – bringing them together to have fun, express themselves, and find community. The vision of being a haven extends to the team as well, which will champion transparency and mutual respect.

Continuing its commitment to fostering creative talent and pushing the boundaries of innovation, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed today that it will invest in the new studio and its first project, an unannounced new IP for PlayStation.

Ashwalkers is Coming to Steam on April 15th

Life is Strange co-creator and Dontnod co-founder Hervé Bonin’s new studio Nameless XIII and publisher Dear Villagers (ScourgeBringer, The Forgotten City) announced that Ashwalkers will release April 15th on Steam. In Ashwalkers, four adventurers journey through a harsh world, making difficult decisions that dramatically affect the course of the story. Tiger Woods Inks Long-Term Exclusive Deal with 2K

2K today announced that it has agreed to an exclusive, long-term partnership with Tiger Woods, one of the most iconic and celebrated figures in golf history. In addition, 2K announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held HB Studios Multimedia, developers of PGA Tour 2K21, as well as The Golf Club franchise. The acquisition is expected to close in the first calendar quarter of 2021.

Folklore-Inspired Horror Survival Game Mundaun Now Available

Mundaun, a folklore-inspired survival horror game from Hidden Fields, a one-man studio founded by Swiss programmer and illustrator Michel Ziegler, and publisher MWM Interactive, is now available for digital purchase on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
