Namco Bandai today announced that Heihachi and Spawn will be available on both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of Soulcalibur II HD ONline. Originally exclusive guest characters for their respective platforms when the game was originally released in 2003, this will be the first time the two characters will be playable together on the same console.
Soulcalibur II HD Online will be available for download this fall.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the launch of Guardians of Middle-earth for PC, a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Monolith Productions and brought to PC by Zombie Studios, available today through Steam and other digital retailers.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced “Be the Zombie” mode for Dying Light, a reward for fans who pre-order the upcoming action survival game. Reserving the game early is the only way at launch to get the mode which allows gamers to play as predators and engage in the game’s only PvP mode.
The special “Be the Zombie” PvP game mode provides gamers the ability to stalk other players as a night hunter, a lethal predator with deadly skills like superhuman speed, a tendril used to grapple around the game world, special charge and distance attacks, and more. As an extremely rare zombie mutation, the night hunter is an agile, fast and dangerous enemy who emerges nocturnally in order to prevent the destruction of Hives by killing humans.
By playing as a night hunter, gamers will earn experience points and develop the character through its own special skill tree, as well as earn other exclusive rewards and perks. This multiplayer mode gives players an entirely new way to experience the world of Dying Light on top of the story campaign.
Dying Light will be available in 2014 for Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Mastertronic and Abstraction Games today announced that The Chaos Engine, the classic Amiga game originally developed by The Bitmap Brothers, is now available for PC digital download. The early ‘90s top-down shooter has been restored by Abstraction Games, the team who recently brought Hotline Miami to the PS3 and Vita, in close consultation with Mike Montgomery, one of the founding members of The Bitmap Brothers.
Firefly Studios has launched a Gambitious Crowd Funding Campaign for Stronghold Crusader 2. For 30 days fans will be able to pledge and help fund the castle building sim sequel in exchange for a variety of tier rewards. These include receiving Stronghold Crusader 2 at a discounted price, gaining access to the game’s closed multiplayer beta and other rewards such as Stronghold HD.
With the help of funding secured through the Gambitious platform, Firefly Studios plans to digitally self-publish Stronghold Crusader 2 on PC in early 2014. All funding will go towards game polish, a closed beta, and additional game content to be announced during the crowd funding campaign.
Launching this fall, the Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders SWAP Force offers gamers a unique adventure complete with its very own story, levels and special starter pack characters. A complementary experience to the console version, Skylanders SWAP Force on Nintendo 3DS will hit retail shelves with three new characters – Rattle Shake, Volcanic Eruptor, and Free Ranger – which are not found in any other Skylanders Starter Pack.
