Watch Dogs: Legion Delays Online Mode to 2021

Today, in a blog post, Ubisoft announced they are delaying the Online Mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021 in order to focus on fixing issues with single player, and to give them more time to test the online experience. As an immediate next step, this week Ubisoft is releasing Update 2.20 to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Stadia that will add a manual Save Game button to PC, as well as bring further stability improvements for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4.

Sony Thanks Gamers for PS5 Launch; Confirms More Units by End of Year

In a Twitter post today, Sony Interactive Entertainment thanked gamers for making the PlayStation 5 launch their biggest console launch ever. In addition, Sony confirmed that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year.

NBA 2K21 MyTeam Season 3 Launches Today

2K today announced that NBA 2K is releasing the next season of MyTeam for NBA 2K21 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. In the season of giving, MyTeam Season 3 brings an array of new content for players, including:

  • A new level 40 prize: Galaxy Opal Dwyane Wade. There will be 45 total levels this season, with extra prizes through levels 41-45;
  • New Triple Threat and 5v5 ‘Spotlight Challenges’ with current and former NBA stars;
  • New ‘Shaq Signature Challenge’ puts players in the 2000 Los Angeles Lakers vs Portland Trail Blazers Western Conference Finals, with a grand prize HOF Badge inspired by Shaq and Diamond Shoe;

“Monster Hunter” Film Collaboration with Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

In advance of the “Monster Hunter” film’s upcoming North American premiere on December 25th , intrepid hunters of the Fifth Fleet can take part in limited time, film-inspired Event Quests in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne which arrive on December 4th. To celebrate the two “Monster Hunter” worlds colliding, players can watch a new trailer for a behind-the-scenes look at Milla Jovovich bringing her “Monster Hunter” character Artemis into Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and a sneak peek at the upcoming collaboration content.

In the special two-part Event Quest, hunters can go head-to-head with the Black Diablos depicted in the film during the initial solo quest, before attempting to overcome the Greater Rathalos in the second portion. Hunters must prepare to fight tooth and claw, as these quests will only be available for players who have achieved Master Rank. For those valiant enough to succeed, items like special gear, layered armor, new titles, a new background and Guild Card poses will become available. Additionally, starting November 27th all Iceborne players will be able to claim one limited time item pack filled with useful items as a log-in bonus to celebrate the upcoming film.

Metal: Hellsinger – Gameplay Music Video

Today, publisher Funcom and developer The Outsiders have released a gameplay-centered music video for their upcoming rhythm shooter Metal: Hellsinger. Featuring vocals from James Dorton (Black Crown Initiate), Poetry of Cinder gives you a feel of the atmosphere that awaits you in the darkest corners of Hell.

Metal: Hellsinger is due to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in 2021. The game will be optimized for next-gen consoles, with improved visuals, up to 120 frames per second, and drastically reduced loading time.

Bloober Team Debuts New Character Teaser Trailer for The Medium

Bloober Team today debuted a brand new trailer for dual reality game The Medium, that introduces a new character and takes players beyond the corridors of the Niwa Hotel.

The character’s face whose name will be revealed in time, is based on Marcin Dorociński, a Polish actor who fans will recognize from the Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit. This mysterious figure is capable of ruthlessness and brutality and has his own revenge driven agenda. As players uncover more about his story, they will see how it connects with Marianne’s investigation.

Fans will also learn more about the spirit world, a dark mirrored reflection of the real world that symbolizes the rawest emotions such as fear and anger. And they’ll discover The Maw is not the only hostile spirit lurking there.

The Medium will launch on Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 28th.

Rainbow Six Siege Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 1st

Today, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are coming December 1st. These versions will allow gameplay in 4K and up to 120 fps, depending on the mode chosen by the players (performance or resolution), among other improvements. Players will be able to upgrade their version on the same family of devices at no extra cost. Cross-generation play is also available within the same family of devices, allowing PS5 players to face PS4 players, and Xbox One players to face Xbox Series X|S players. Cross-play between different families of consoles or between PC and consoles is not currently supported.

Cyberpunk 2077 – PlayStation Gameplay

CD Projekt Red today revealed a Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay video, captured on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5. The video showcases Cyberpunk 2077 running on both PlayStation 4 Pro, and PlayStation 5 via backwards compatibility. The gameplay is taken from the Nomad lifepath, one of the three playable backstories players can choose to jump into when they begin their adventure; featuring action from the Badlands — the desert area which surrounds Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release December 10th for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia. The game will also be playable on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. At a later date, a free upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, taking full advantage of next-gen hardware, will become available for owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions respectively.
