Team Meat today revealed that its sequel to 2010’s platforming game, Super Meat Boy Forever, is coming to the Epic Games Store on December 23rd. Meat Boy and his partner Bandage Girl have had a child, Nugget, who has unfortunately been kidnapped by the sinister stillborn psychopath, Dr. Fetus. So now it’s up to Meat Boy, Bandage Girl, and some surprising new characters in the Meat Boy Cinematic Universe, to rescue the kidnapped child.
Finnish developer Housemarque today announced that their PlayStation 5 debut, the third-person action game Returnal, will launch on March 19th, 2021.
Today at The Game Awards 2020 show, ZA/UM announced Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, the definitive edition of the RPG, which will be available as a digital download in March 2021 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as well as on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and Google Stadia. This will be followed by the release of the game on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2021.
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will include full voice acting for Revachol’s beautiful people as well as new quests and unseen areas to explore. All existing players of the game will receive a free full upgrade to The Final Cut on their current platform.
Tonight at The Game Awards, Fullbright debuted Open Roads, a mother-daughter road trip adventure, which will be published by Annapurna Interactive next year. Developed by the creators of Gone Home and Tacoma, Open Roads stars Golden Globe award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated actor Keri Russell (“The Americans,” “Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker,” and “Antlers”) and Golden Globe award-nominated actor Kaitlyn Dever (“Booksmart,” “Unbelievable” and “Short Term 12”). The game is set to launch in 2021 for PC and console.
In Open Roads, players will experience the story as 16-year-old Tess Devine, on a road trip with her mother, Opal, to discover what has been left behind in evocative places forgotten to time. Together, they’ll explore a series of long-abandoned family properties, unearthing a mystery much darker than either of them imagined. Opal and Tess’s relationship has never been easy; in their search they’ll discover not just the truth they’ve been seeking, but each other. Kaitlyn Dever voices the role of Tess, and Keri Russell voices the role of her mother, Opal.
Scavengers Studio today revealed its second game, Season, for PlayStation and on PC via Steam. Season is a third-person atmospheric adventure game. You play as a young woman from a secluded village exploring the world by bike for the first time, collecting artifacts and memories before a cataclysm washes everything away.

Today, during The Game Awards 2020, Square Enix revealed a new battle-focused gameplay trailer for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…. The new trailer showcases the protagonist slashing through swaths of enemy Shades across different battlefields, giving a first look at the prequel to NieR:Automata, the action-RPG from game director Yoko Taro.
The company also announced the White Snow Edition of the game, a collector’s fantasy pack featuring a “Lunar Tear” Collector’s Box, Steelbook Case, Pin Badge Set, Script Set, and Soundtrack CD Set available now for pre-order exclusively from the Square Enix Store for $159.99.

According to the NPD Group, which tracks video game sales, the combined sales of the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite systems hit over 1.35 million units in the U.S. in the month of November, which included Thanksgiving and Black Friday. With these sales numbers, Nintendo Switch achieved another milestone as the best-selling video game console in the U.S. for a record-breaking 24 consecutive months. In 2020, Nintendo Switch has already sold 6.92 million units in the U.S. alone, surpassing in 11 months the total number of systems sold in all of 2019 by over 426,000.

Taking a virtual format this year, The Game Awards will air live in 4K UHD from Hollywood, California, with special segments from other locations around the world.
