Today at The Game Awards 2020, Capcom revealed a brand new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise, the upcoming entry in the Monster Hunter action RPG series. The video showcases two new monsters, several returning monsters and a new area for players to explore. The new trailer also reveals an early look at the mysterious “Rampage” events that threaten Kamura Village, the game’s primary location. Also announced during the event, a free Monster Hunter Rise demo will be released for the Nintendo Switch in January 2021, prior to the launch of the full game on March 26th.
Today at The Game Awards 2020, Capcom announced Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection and Capcom Arcade Stadium, two new titles for the Nintendo Switch that pay homage to some of Capcom’s most revered arcade classics. Providing a modern take on a beloved franchise, Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection will bring a new adventure to life starting February 25th when it releases digitally for $29.99. For old-school fans and arcade novices alike, Capcom Arcade Stadium will usher 32 classic Capcom titles out of arcade machines and onto Nintendo Switch when it releases digitally in February. More information on Capcom Arcade Stadium will be announced at a later date.
Tonight at The Game Awards, Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Outriders, the RPG-shooter from People Can Fly and Square Enix External Studios. The new trailer introduces players to the Mantras of Survival – a guide to help them thrive as a hyper-evolved Human on the unforgiving planet of Enoch, where the only way forward is to take charge of your own fate and Think Aggressive.
Outriders will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on February 2nd and Google Stadia later in 2021.
At The Game Awards this evening, Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games revealed Evil Dead: The Game, an upcoming co-op and PvP multiplayer title in development for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Based on the Evil Dead franchise and characters created by Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, the game casts players against the forces of evil that have been unleashed from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, with sights and sounds inspired by the films “The Evil Dead,” “Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn,” and “Army of Darkness,” as well as the STARZ original “Ash vs Evil Dead” television series.
Work together as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, managing your fear, and finding key artifacts to seal the breach between worlds. Or take control of the powerful Kandarian Demon to hunt Ash and his friends while possessing Deadites, the environment, and even the survivors themselves as you seek to swallow their souls.
Tonight, Activision unveiled the full Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One offerings at The Game Awards, featuring the biggest Black Ops offering of free content including eight free maps, three free-to-acquire weapons, a new Battle Pass system, a new Warzone map and much more. Officially launching on December 16th, Season One also features three new Operators, new multiplayer Modes and new tools of the trade.
Additionally, Warzone delivers a mass of free content including an entirely new battle royale experience at Rebirth Island, new Verdansk Gulag experience, new Resurgence game mode, as well as a new vehicle, operator, weapons and more.
From Striking Distance Studios and the creators of Dead Space, comes The Callisto Protocol – a story-driven, survival horror game set in a prison colony on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto. Coming 2022.
At The Game Awards 2020, Krafton, the company behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, announced its latest title Thunder Tier One, a top-down tactical shooter where players lead an elite task force fighting enemy operatives. Thunder Tier One was introduced via a teaser trailer and players can now get a first taste of the title through the Steam gameplay preview, which will be hosted from December 10th at 8pm PT to December 13th at 8am PT.
As part of the gameplay preview gamers will be able to play in single player co-op mode, as well as multiplayer game modes ‘Advance and Secure’ and ‘Deathmatch’. There will also be two campaign missions available to play in either single mode or as co-op. On its full release, the game will also be accessible to modding, allowing fans to create their own modes, weapons and missions which they can share with the wider Thunder Tier One community.
Frontier Developments tonight revealed the first gameplay footage for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey during the live broadcast of The Game Awards 2020. Launching in early 2021, Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will allow Commanders to explore distant worlds on foot for the very first time, taking on new missions and engaging in tactical combat, merging with Elite Dangerous’ cockpit experience players have come to know.
Tonight, during The Game Awards, Riot Forge and Airship Syndicate revealed a first look at the gameplay of Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, which as previously announced is coming to Console and PC next year.
Tonight at The Game Awards, Sega and Amplitude Studios announced its newest title, Endless Dungeon, a rogue-lite tactical action game set in the Endless Universe. Shipwrecked on a mysterious space station, you’ll need to recruit a team of heroes and protect your crystal against never-ending waves of monsters. Endless Dungeon will be coming to both PC and consoles.
