Flying Wild Hog Reveals New Co-op Action Game, Evil West

Flying Wild Hog and Focus Home Interactive today announced Evil West, a new solo and co-op action game set in a dark fantasy, Wild West universe. In its reveal trailer, you’ll meet vampire hunter Jesse Rentier and the bloodthirsty monstrosities he hunts. Evil West is expected to arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2021.

Star Wars: Squadrons – B-wing, Tie Defender and Custom Matches Now Live

The second Star Wars: Squadrons holiday update is now live, bringing the highly requested B-wing starfighter for the New Republic and TIE/d “Defender” multi-role starfighter for the Empire to the game.

With this update, Motive Studios is also launching custom matches in Star Wars: Squadrons. Custom matches will make it easier for more players to create and participate in community-run tournaments, which have been popular since the game’s launch. The update also includes the new server browser feature that makes it easier to find custom games.

Sephiroth from Final Fantasy Slices His Way Into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In a new trailer that debuted during The Game Awards, Nintendo announced that Sephiroth, the villain from the Final Fantasy series, is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable fighter this month. Sephiroth is part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2 DLC, which also includes DLC fighters Min-Min from ARMS and Steve & Alex from Minecraft, along with three yet-to-be-announced fighters. Sephiroth joins Cloud as the second character from the Final Fantasy series available as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. More information about Sephiroth will be revealed in a special video dedicated to the upcoming fighter on December 17th at 5pm ET / 2pm PT.

BioWare Teases New Dragon Age, Mass Effect

Today at The Game Awards 2020, the team at BioWare presented a new look into the new Dragon Age they’re developing for the next generation of consoles and PC.

The trailer featured the return of the enigmatic Solas, Darkspawn and the Blight. And the voice you hear may sound familiar as it’s being done by Brian Bloom, who is returning as the fan-favorite storyteller, Varric. This is a true Dragon Age saga full of action and fully-realized companions who will fight beside you as you explore new places within the world of Thedas.

But that wasn’t all, the BioWare team also surprised the audience with the first initial look at the next new Mass Effect game, which is still very early in development.

Back 4 Blood Revealed by Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios

Warner Bros. Games today revealed gameplay for Back 4 Blood, the upcoming first-person cooperative zombie shooter from Turtle Rock Studios, the development team behind the Left 4 Dead franchise. Fans can tune-in to the Back 4 Blood Gameplay Showcase on December 17th to get an in-depth look at the game with discussions featuring Turtle Rock Studios team members and even more gameplay. The event will begin at 1pm EST / 10am PST and will be streamed on the Turtle Rock Studios Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.

Also announced was a closed PC alpha test, which will begin December 17th immediately after the Back 4 Blood Gameplay Showcase and will run through December 21st. Players can register now at www.Back4Blood.com for their chance to participate and be one of the first to get their hands-on experience with the game. Back 4 Blood is scheduled for release on June 22nd, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Back 4 Blood can be played online with a squad of four players or solo with up to three AI teammates. The game will also support up to eight players in online PvP multiplayer. The story takes place after a catastrophic outbreak where most of humanity has either been killed or infected by the parasitic Devil Worm. Hardened by unspeakable events and emboldened to fight for the last of humanity, a group of apocalypse veterans called the Cleaners have rallied to take on the infected horrors known as the Ridden and reclaim the world.
