Before the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Square Enix will be hosting a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the game’s director, Hajime Tabata, on January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. EST. Fans are encouraged to join and participate in the discussion as Tabata will be answering questions specific to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Fans with questions relating to Final Fantasy XV are asked to hold onto those questions as the title will not be discussed at this time.

Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos Interactive today announced the development of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, a real-time strategy adaptation of Games Workshop’s tabletop game for the PC. The game stages the mighty armada of the Imperial Navy’s Battlefleet Gothic against the insidious and galaxy threatening Chaos Black Crusade of Abaddon the Despoiler in space battles.
Developed on Unreal Engine 4, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is an RTS in which the player takes command of one of these battlefleets composed of the most powerful spaceships from the Imperial, Chaos, Eldar and Ork forces, in a no-quarter given struggle for the control of the Gothic sector of space.

The NPD Group has released its report for the month of December. While software sales were down 13% year-over-year in December, hardware sales were up 20%. Overall, total industry sales were up 1% to $13.1 billion. For the second month in a row, Xbox One was the best selling platform followed by PlayStation 4, while Wii U established new benchmarks for hardware and software sales in a single month in December. Nintendo 3DS also had a strong December, including its largest month ever for first-party software sales. PlayStation 4 was the best selling platform for the year as a whole, and after 14 months on the market, cumulative sales of PS4 and Xbox One exceeded the Xbox 360 and PS3 cumulative 14-month total by 65%.
