Dying Light Celebrates 6th Anniversary with Zombie Hunt Event, Free Weekend on Steam

Techland invites players to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Dying Light with a limited-time in-game Zombie Hunt Event, where players must help survivors of Harran fend off a group of undead GRE operatives. During this weekend (February 25 – March 1) PC users will have the opportunity to download the Dying Light Standard Edition via Steam and enjoy the game for free during this time period. In addition, Techland revealed a new Harran Tactical Unit Bundle available to purchase, featuring new weapons, shields and buggy skins. Both the Zombie Hunt Event and Harran Tactical Unit Bundle are available starting today on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Nightdive Studios Launches New Demo of System Shock Remake

Nightdive Studios’ has released a brand new, feature-complete demo of its upcoming FPS/RPG hybrid, the System Shock remake. The demo is available today via major digital services, offering players a complete look at the opening chapter of the game. Nightdive Studios also announced that pre-orders will go live today ahead of the game’s PC release in Summer 2021 on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store.

Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Developer Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack today announced that Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition, a fully remastered version of the game, will be coming digitally to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 4th.

Along with upgraded textures and 4K resolution, the game will deliver an uncompromised 60 frames-per-second gameplay on next-gen consoles. This remaster has also been calibrated to take full advantage of the PS5 DualSense controller’s technologies, from the whispering sounds and heartbeat vibrations that resonate from your controller as you approach a new Shell, to the impact you feel in the palm of your hands as you utilize the harden mechanics.

Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition will be available as a completely free next-gen upgrade for existing Mortal Shell customers who already bought the game on PS4 or Xbox One. For new customers, this remastered next-generation version will keep to its last-gen launch price of $29.99 USD.

Roguelite ‘Voidigo’ Enters Steam Early Access

Swedish indie developer Semiwork today announced that its take on the roguelite genre, Voidigo, is now available in Early Access on Steam for PC. Voidigo challenges players to square off against monsters in colorful worlds, with a bevy of weapons and power-ups at their disposal. One wrong move, however, and the hunter becomes the hunted.

Prepare for Launch: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season Two

Season Two will make landfall this evening, adding new gameplay experiences to both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone , while further escalating the global stakes of the hunt for Perseus and the fate of Verdansk. Outriders Demo Arrives Tomorrow

Square Enix today revealed a first-look at the free playable demo for Outriders, the RPG-Shooter from People Can Fly and Square Enix External Studios.

Broadcast #5 ‘Into the Fray’, gives a look at the content on offer in the Outriders demo, coming February 25th, where players will be able to experience the entire opening chapter of the Outriders campaign. With around 3 hours of gameplay available, players can create multiple characters and try out all four classes in the game: Devastator, Pyromancer, Technomancer and Trickster.

Progress in the campaign will transfer to the full game for players who purchase Outriders on the same platform. Additionally, Broadcast #5 includes a deep dive into the PC version of Outriders.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… – Opening Movie

Today Square Enix revealed the opening cinematic, “Attract Movie,” for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… showcasing the title’s upgraded visuals, voiceover and soundtrack for the beoved title. The cinematic also introduces an unlikely cast of characters in a dark, apocalyptic world, as they join together with the protagonist on his quest to cure his sister of a deadly disease – a quest which will in turn make them question everything. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on April 23rd.

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 Delayed to March Due to Cyber Attack

Narita Boy to Release on March 30th

Team17 and Studio Koba today revealed that its digital adventure Narita Boy will release on March 30th for PC, PlayStation 4 (and backwards compatible on PS5), Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One (playable on Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility) including on release day with Xbox Game Pass for PC and console. The narrative-driven RetroVania adventure is inspired by the electronic pop culture of the 1980s, with a synthwave soundtrack and neo-retro aesthetic to match, as players are sucked into the Digital Kingdom to fight for its freedom… and for the memories of its human creator.
