Megadimension Neptunia VII Coming February 2nd

Idea Factory today announced that Megadimension Neptunia will be available on February 2nd exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in both retail and digital formats. Alongside this, Idea Factory is releasing a free, same-day original Japanese voiceover DLC.

The first PS4 game in the Neptunia series, this installment features new characters, three worlds to save and three stories to play, a new transformation mode, extra features to the battle system, and a new dungeon minigame so you can get all the items you need for you and all of your new allies to save Gamindustri.

Pokkén Tournament Launches March 18th on Wii U

Nintendo today announced that Pokkén Tournament, the upcoming game that lets players battle as prized Pokémon in fighting arenas, will launch exclusively for Wii U on March 18th for $74.99. People that buy the first production run version of the game will also receive a special Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card, which can be tapped to the Wii U GamePad controller to unlock the Shadow Mewtwo playable character in the game.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Japanese launch of the Pokémon franchise, the original Pokémon games (Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version, as well as Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition) will be available as digital downloads in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS on February 27th for $12.49 each. That same day, Nintendo will also launch a New Nintendo 3DS Pokémon 20th Anniversary bundle that includes the New Nintendo 3DS system, two Pokémon-themed cover plates (one featuring Charizard and one with Blastoise), an exclusive Pokémon Home Menu theme and both Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version pre-installed on the system. The bundle will hit stores on February 27th for $239.99.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Arrives on PC

The action RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen arrives on PC today, making this the series’ PC debut in the west. Initially released for consoles, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen on PC delivers high resolution graphics with increased fidelity, new framerate options, and 4K support. The title will be available to purchase digitally for $29.99.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for PC also includes full Steam platform support with Achievements and expanded control options. Players can customize the way they play with options for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers or a traditional keyboard and mouse control scheme.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen contains all the content from the original Dragon’s Dogma along with all previously released add-on content. This new version also includes all of the adventures from the game’s expansion.

Tom Clancy’s The Division Closed Beta Begins January 28th

Ubisoft today announced that the Tom Clancy’s The Division closed beta begins January 28th on Xbox One and January 29th on PlayStation 4 and PC. The closed beta will run until January 31st.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available on March 8th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

World of Tanks Launching January 19th on PS4

Wargaming today announced that World of Tanks will launch January 19th on PlayStation 4. World of Tanks will feature enhanced visuals, utilizing the full power of the PS4 along with platform specific features and limited-time exclusive content for logging into the game.

Built specifically for PlayStation 4, World of Tanks incorporates platform features that elevate tank warfare on console with complete Dualshock 4 functionality, Share Play and PlayStation Vita Remote Play with optimized controls. World of Tanks will offer Platinum Trophies, along with four different Founder’s Packs containing a variety of Premium in-game content available now in the PlayStation Store. Register Now for Blood Bowl 2 World Cup on PC

Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive invite all Blood Bowl 2 PC players to brawl merrily for the title of Blood Bowl 2’s World Champion 2016 — as well as for a long list of prizes distributed to the best players in the world. Prove you’re the rightful champion by registering now to the official Blood Bowl 2 World Cup 2016, starting in February.

The top 64 players will be able to qualify for the Playoff only if they survive the Qualification Rounds. Players can qualify either by registering on the Public League or by joining one of the Private Leagues ruled by the official Blood Bowl 2 Communities.

December 2015 Video Game Sales Results

The NPD Group has released its retail report for the month of December. While software and hardware sales were down year-over-year by 1% and 6% respectively, total industry sales were flat at $13.1 billion. PlayStation 4 was the top selling console in December and the best selling platform for the year as a whole. After 26 months, the combined cumulative sales of PS4 and Xbox One exceeds the 26 month total of the PS3 and Xbox 360 by 47%. PlayStation 4 also sold the most third-party software this year.
