Cities: Skylines – Snowfall Expansion Announced

Paradox Interactive today announced the newest expansion to Cities: Skylines, the city-builder from Colossal Order. The new expansion is titled “Snowfall” and will be available on PC later this year. Snowfall will allow mayor-players to expand and grow their cities using new transportation options while challenging them to meet citizens’ needs using several new in-game tools. All of these new inclusions will revolve around the expansion’s central feature: an in-game weather system.

Square Enix and Milestone Team Up for Racing Games

Square Enix today announced a publishing partnership with Milestone to bring its racing titles to North America. The multi-title agreement with the Italian studio starts with the March 15th release of Milestone’s rally simulator Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO, a game that launches players into the life of iconic rally racer Sébastien Loeb. Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Additional Milestone racing games are scheduled to release through Square Enix in 2016.

Final Fantasy Explorers – ‘The Final Fantasy Legacy’ Trailer

On January 26th, players will be able to transform into 11 classic Final Fantasy characters featured in the multiplayer action role-playing adventure Final Fantasy Explorers. During battle, while in Trance Mode, players can harness the power of legendary Final Fantasy characters and utilize their ultimate attacks. Clever use of the Trance system is one of the keys to defeating foes. Players can see Trance Mode in action, along with battle gameplay, characters, and summons in the new trailer released today.

Black Desert Online’s Second Closed Beta in February

Daum Games today announced that Black Desert Online’s second and final Closed Beta Test will begin on February 18th. Players who have pre-ordered the Explorer’s or Conqueror’s package will be automatically entered in the Beta, while others can apply for access in early February. More details about the second Closed Beta Test, including end date, improvements over the first Beta, and special events, will be revealed at a later stage.

Daum Games also revealed the standalone launch of the Black Desert Online Character Creator, available today for free.

Minecraft: Story Mode Coming to Wii U This Week

Telltale Games and Mojang today announced that Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series will be coming to Wii U on January 21st with the first episode, ‘The Order of the Stone,’ available in the Nintendo eShop for $4.99. Telltale will also be bringing additional episodes to the console in the coming weeks, with a Season Pass option for $19.99 that will allow access to episodes 2 through 5 as they become available for download.

The game will feature off-TV play and mirroring, so players can continue the story on the Wii U GamePad controller, as well as touch-control options that allow players to use the joysticks and buttons or simply tap and guide the story directly on the screen at any time.

Microsoft today unveiled the Xbox One Tom Clancy’s The Division Bundle, which features a 1TB hard drive and a full-game download of Tom Clancy’s The Division. Fans in the U.S. that pre-order the bundle will also receive guaranteed early access to the closed beta launching on January 28th. The bundle is available in the U.S. and Canada at participating retailers starting March 8th for $399 USD.
