eastasiasoft today announced that Rainbow Moon will launch for the PlayStation 4 on February 16th. The PS4 version features updated dialog, improved load times, and Cross-Save across PS4/PS3/Vita. The game will be available at a special 50% discount for existing owners of the PS3 or PS Vita versions.
Idea Factory International announced that Megadimension Neptunia VII is now available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in both retail and digital formats. Alongside this, the publisher has released some same-day DLC. Original Japanese Voiceover, Histy’s Item Trial Set, and Histy’s Item Beginner Set are available as free downloads. Additionally, the Nightwear Pack will be available to download for $2.75. Idea Factory will release more DLC weekly.
Sega today announced that Make War Not Love 3, the third annual Relic vs Creative Assembly community event, will commence on February 14th at 1pm EST and run until 1pm EST, February 20th. Company of Heroes 2 has come out victorious against Total War in the previous two years and the RTS titles will lock horns again as the Company of Heroes 2 community takes on the Total War: Attila community. This year however, a new challenger is entering the fray. The Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II community will bring their multiplayer skills to the contest, thus completing the bill for the RTS triple threat match up and the bloodiest Make War Not Love line-up yet.
All you need to do to take part is play your chosen game as much as possible during the contest. To give new players an incentive to join the action, Total War: Attila, Company of Heroes 2 and Dawn of War II will all be available to buy at 75% off for the duration of the contest and will be available to play for free from February 18th until February 20th at 4pm EST.
Points, or in this case percentages, mean prizes and all matches/skirmishes completed in each game will be tallied up and then weighted using a formula that would make even Alan Turing’s head spin. Every 48 hours throughout the contest, the community in the lead will unlock a selection of games from Sega’s back catalogue to download for free, in addition to some bumper discounts for other Sega titles.
The winning community at the end of the contest will unlock a piece of content specific to their game to download for free. If Company of Heroes 2 win, it will be Company of Heroes 2 – The British Forces, if Dawn of War II wins, it will be the Tau Commander for Dawn of War II: Retribution and if Total War: Attila wins, an as yet unannounced, brand new piece of DLC will unlock. These prizes will be available to download once the contest has concluded.

inkle Studios today announced that Steve Jackson’s Sorcery!, the narrative game combining the first two Sorcery! chapters, “The Shamutanti Hills” and “Kharé, Cityport of Traps,” is now available on PC as a single volume for $9.99. Better yet, through February 9th it’s on sale for 40% off.
Today, composer Jason Graves was announced as the composer of the original game soundtrack for the next chapter in the Far Cry franchise, Far Cry Primal. Graves is renowned for his textural concept scores and cinematic orchestration on AAA titles such as Until Dawn, The Order: 1886, Evolve, Tomb Raider and Dead Space.
As a classically-trained composer and world percussionist, Graves created an entirely live organic score for Far Cry Primal, blending a diverse array of sounds from the natural environment and incorporating many animal effects into the score. The soundtrack features a unique set of textures representing each of the tribes that players will encounter, including a ram’s horn and solo flute (Wenja); Aztec death whistles, female vocals, ritualistic percussion (Izilia); raw sounds from Far Cry’s Stone Age natural environment including bushes, bones, antlers, clay pots, wooden artifacts and male vocals (Udam).
The Far Cry Primal original game soundtrack, digital edition, is available for pre-orders today. The soundtrack will be available when the game launches on February 23rd.
XSEED Games today announced that its 2D crossover fighting game, Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, is now available both physically and digitally on the PlayStation 4, as well as digitally on the PlayStation 3.
As a way to thank early adopters and patient fans, XSEED Games is offering the game’s two DLC characters, Homura (from the Senran Kagura series) and Aino Heart (from the Arcana Heart series), free of charge on the PlayStation Store for the first four weeks following the game’s launch. Starting March 1st, Homura and Aino Heart will be available for $5.99 each or as a bundle for $9.99.
Sega today announced it will localize and release 7th Dragon III Code: VFD in the Americas. The turn-based, dungeon crawling RPG for the Nintendo 3DS pits players to save the world with a group of customizable characters with diverse party roles, such as Rune Knight, God Hand and more. In between dungeon crawling sorties, there’s also base building, dating, and a cat café (really). While this is the first of the 7th Dragon series to be released outside of Japan, the story is comprehensive, so no prior knowledge of the series is necessary. 7th Dragon III Code: VFD arrives this summer in retail stores and on the Nintendo eShop.
Activision announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops III Awakening, the first DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, is available now, first on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 4, with other platforms to follow. Awakening delivers four new multiplayer maps in addition to an all-new Zombies experience.
