2K and Gearbox Software today announced Attikus and Galilea, the 19th and 20th characters to be revealed for the upcoming hero-shooter Battleborn, which launches with 25 playable heroes on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 3rd.
Attikus and Galilea are both up-close-and-personal brawlers, relying on bio-technology and dark energy, as well as good old fisticuffs and swords to strike down their enemies. Like all Battleborn heroes, Attikus and Galilea are available to play in both competitive multiplayer matches, as well as the game’s Story Mode – which can be played singleplayer, co-op up to 5 players, or 2-player splitscreen. Attikus is a slave, laborer, and warrior, who has been shoved into the deepest of mines and kept down. But thanks to an experimental biotech harness, this already-imposing brute was given the one thing no one expected: Intelligence. And the only thing more dangerous than a huge, imposing beast with an axe to grind against his oppressors…is a smart imposing beast with an axe to grind against his oppressors. Galilea, on the other hand, was once a promising undercover agent. Pre-orders for Io-Interactive’s new Hitman game go live again today. Players will be able to pre-order the ‘Intro Pack’ or the ‘Full Experience’, both of which will guarantee access to the upcoming beta.
A new trailer titled ‘World of Assassination’ has also been released by the studio today. The world of assassination is a place of hidden violence, secret deals and bloody murder. It is the world where agencies such as the ICA work in the shadows to bring balance – it is the setting for past, present and future Hitman games.
Hitman will launch on March 11th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Hitman beta starts on February 12th through February 14th on PlayStation 4 and February 19th through February 21st on PC. Players can guarantee access to the beta by pre-ordering the Full Experience or the new Intro Pack.

Activision and FreeStyleGames today announced the Guitar Hero Live Shred-a-Thon, a special 5-day marathon that includes the debut of Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce. The Shred-a-Thon is live now on a special third channel in GHTV, and runs until Monday, February 8th at 10:00 AM ET.

Once the marathon concludes, Through the Fire and Flames will be added to the game’s regular song catalogue. Every song in the Shred-a-Thon is also Rival Challenge-enabled, which means players have the option of competing against matchmade players in a head-to-head battle during each song.
