Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale Now Available

XSEED Games today announced that its farming-flavored turn-based RPG, Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale, is now available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. Produced by Yohsuke Tamori (creator of PopoloCrois Story) and Yoshifumi Hashimoto (producer of the Bokujo Monogatari/Story of Seasons and Rune Factory franchises), this crossover features classically-styled RPG gameplay and game-spanning life simulation elements that both veterans and newcomers to either series will equally enjoy. Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale also marks the return of the PopoloCrois series to the West after a 10 year hiatus.

Vanguard Joins The Few in a New Livelock Trailer

Vanguard joins The Few in the newest gameplay trailer for Livelock. Even larger in stature than Hex, Vanguard shows his presence in the battlefield as he navigates the world in an effort to fight for those who can’t. Armed with a massive chassis and powerful hammer, he will be able to absorb massive amounts of damage while also being able to crush the rogue Clusters with one fell swoop.

Livelock, a fast-paced cooperative top-down shooter based in a post-human world where machines are waging an infinite war against each other, will launch in 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Alekhine’s Gun Now Available

Maximum Games today announced that Alekhine’s Gun, the Cold War stealth game and spiritual success to Death to Spies, is now available for purchase on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version will be available on March 11th. Alekhine’s Gun puts players in the shoes of WWII ex-KGB assassin, Agent Alekhine, who is tasked with eliminating conspirators during the 1960s Cold War era.

Microsoft Showcases Spring Lineup for Xbox One and Windows 10

In San Francisco last week, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer reaffirmed Microsoft’s commitment to bringing the biggest Microsoft Studios franchises to both Xbox One and Windows 10. Kicking off with today’s release of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Windows 10, the Xbox spring games lineup includes a wide array of franchises coming to both Xbox One and Windows 10, including Quantum Break, Forza, Killer Instinct and more:

  • Forza Motorsport 6: Apex – Arriving in the Windows Store this spring, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is a free, curated standalone experience for Windows 10 that provides fans with a tour of what Forza Motorsport 6 has to offer, including Drivatar opponents and Forzavista cars. The experience also takes advantage of DirectX 12, delivering visuals at up to 4K resolution.
  • Forza Motorsport 6 (Porsche Expansion Pack) – Available today, the Porsche Expansion Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One spans Porsche’s 60-year history, giving players the chance to race and master 21 Porsche models, including nine new to Xbox One, in an all-new eight-hour Career campaign. The Porsche Expansion also features the debut of the Virginia International Raceway track, in both night and wet conditions.
  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Windows 10 – Available in the Windows Store starting today, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is playable for the first time on Windows 10. Remade from the ground-up, the game features 4k resolution built with DirectX 12, unlimited refresh rates and controller and mouse and keyboard controls.
  • Killer Instinct: Season 3 – Microsoft Studios and Iron Galaxy announced that eight new fighters are joining the arena in Killer Instinct: Season 3, available March 29th on both Xbox One and Windows 10. The team provided hands-on with the first four characters available on launch day – Kim Wu, Tusk, The Arbiter from the Halo franchise, and Rash from Battletoads – on Xbox One and an MSI Nightblade X2 Windows 10 PC.
  • Minecraft with Oculus Rift support – Microsoft and Mojang are teaming up with Oculus to provide the first-ever demos of Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition with Oculus Rift support, shown at the Xbox Spring Showcase on Cyberpower Black Crow and Acer Predator G6. You can play Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition in Creative or Survival mode in full 3D while using the familiar Xbox One controller that ships with every Rift sold. Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition with Oculus Rift support will be available through the Windows Store and Oculus Store this spring.
  • Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition – Microsoft Studios highlighted additional content for Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, demoed at the Xbox Spring Showcase on Xbox One. The Definitive Edition enhances the original game with new content, including new areas, abilities, more story sequences, multiple difficulty modes, fast travel between areas, and more. Available March 11th on both Xbox One and Windows 10.
  • Quantum Break – Remedy Entertainment debuted the DirectX 12-powered Windows 10 version of Quantum Break at the Xbox Spring Showcase, offering hands-on demos running on an Nvidia Z97 Carbide, Asus ROG G11 Series, and Acer Predator G6. Anyone who pre-orders the Xbox One digital version through the Xbox Store, purchases an Xbox One digital token at participating retailers, or pre-orders an Xbox One Special Edition Quantum Break bundle, will receive the Windows 10 version of the game for free, downloadable from the Windows Store via redemption code when Quantum Break launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 on April 5th.

Additionally, the Xbox team discussed new updates arriving soon on Xbox One and also in the Xbox app in Windows 10:

  • Gamerscore Leaderboard in the Achievements section and Hero Stat Leaderboards in Game Hubs
  • See Avatars in your Activity Feed if you’ve chosen to replace your gamerpic with your Avatar
  • An updated “Featured” section spotlights games, deals, community events and more
  • 16-person Party Chat is enabled across both Xbox One and the Windows 10 Xbox app
  • Xbox 360 achievements will automatically post to your Activity Feed
  • More interactive Game Hubs with web-linking
  • Compare your Avatar with your friends’ Avatars
  • Reputation interface changes, players with ‘good’ profiles will no longer feature a reputation gauge

Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Stress Test This Weekend

Naughty Dog will be hosting a Multiplayer Stress Test this weekend where the goal is to get as many people as possible playing in the Uncharted 4 multiplayer mode to test networking, matchmaking, and more. The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Stress Test will run from March 4th at 9:00 AM PST to March 6th at 11:59 PM PST. A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to participate.

The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Stress Test client will be available later today on PlayStation Store so you can pre-load the Stress Test and jump straight into multiplayer as soon as the servers go live this Friday.

Mortal Kombat XL Now Available

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that Mortal Kombat XL, an expanded version of Mortal Kombat X, is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat XL offers the essential Mortal Kombat X experience that comprises of the main game and all content featured in the original Kombat Pack and Kombat Pack 2 including:

  • Brand-new playable characters Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film series and the Xenomorph from Alien, along with returning Mortal Kombat characters Triborg and Bo’Rai Cho
  • All playable characters from the original Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack: Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tremor and Tanya, each accompanied by three themed skins
  • New Apocalypse Skin Pack
  • Previously released content for Mortal Kombat X including Goro, the Brazil Skin Pack, the Kold War Skin Pack, Samurai Skin Pack and Kold War Scorpion Skin

As an added bonus, Mortal Kombat XL and PS4 and Xbox One owners of Mortal Kombat X can download the new Medieval Skin Pack and new Pit Stage environment for free, that is based on the classic Mortal Kombat arena, including a stage-specific Fatality.

Players who already own Mortal Kombat X can purchase the Mortal Kombat XL Pack, which includes content from both the original Kombat Pack and Kombat Pack 2.
