Rocket League Championship Series Announced

Twitch and Psyonix today announced a partnership to create the Rocket League Championship Series, the official competitive league for the sports-action title. In addition to being the exclusive broadcasting platform for the league, Twitch will manage RLCS operations and work alongside Psyonix to build the community and infrastructure to foster long-term growth of the game.

Starting in March, players interested in competing in the inaugural season of the Rocket League Championship Series can register in teams of three for a chance to win the very first Rocket League championship title. The three-month season kicks off with open qualifiers and will have a total prize pool of $75,000 USD. All matches will be played on the PlayStation 4 and PC with additional platform support to be revealed in the future.

Homefront: The Revolution Goliath Edition Announced

Deep Silver today unveiled the Homefront: The Revolution Goliath Edition, a limited collector edition available soon for pre-order and packed with content for fans in North America. Alongside a boxed copy of the game, the Goliath Edition includes:

New Details for Disney Infinity 3.0’s Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set

Disney Interactive today unveiled a new trailer, characters and Power Discs for the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set launching for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition on March 15th. Joining the roster of more than 25 playable Marvel characters from Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes are:

• Ant-Man, who shrinks to the size of an ant but increases his strength to pack a whopping punch
• Black Panther, the leader of Wakanda who defends his homeland with acrobatic skills and his legendary claws
• Vision, a brave and noble synthetic warrior who will fight to bring peace to the world

The new line-up of characters includes costumes inspired by the upcoming film Captain America: Civil War, releasing in theaters May 6th. Additionally, a new Marvel Battlegrounds-themed Power Disc Pack will be sold separately and contains:

This afternoon, Disney Interactive shared information about their upcoming plans for Disney Infinity in 2016 on Disney Infinity Next – a new online program that will give fans a look at the past, present and future of Disney Infinity, directed in part, by your feedback. It’s the first of several editions Disney intends to publish throughout the year, and in today’s episode they covered some of Disney Infinity’s highlights from 2015, shared early details on their 2016 content plans and gave a sneak peek at some of the figures and Play Sets launching over the next few months.

Moving Hazard Coming to Early Access on March 10th

Psyop Games and IllFonic will release their team-based, competitive first-person shooter, Moving Hazard, on PC through Steam’s Early Access program on March 10th for $19.99. The game pits rival military factions in a desperate battle for resources in a world lost to the zombie infection, where players must fight the instinct to kill zombies in order to spare the shamblers and deploy them as weapons against the enemy.

New Dark Souls III Screenshots

Bandai Namco has released new screenshots for Dark Souls III focusing on the various character classes players can choose from as they start their journey. In addition to character classes the assets also include a quick look at the multiplayer co-op and invasion aspect of the game. Dark Souls III will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox ONe and PC via Steam on April 12th.
