Bandai Namco has released a new trailer that introduces the characters you get to play with from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable episode from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime and manga series. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven is launching digitally on June 28th exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
DICE today announced a collaboration with Scottish electronic group, Chvrches, who composed the original song, “Warning Call”, for the upcoming video game, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. The song is featured at the start and end of the game and one more secret location if you explore the city of Glass, and touches on many of the thematic elements of the Mirror’s Edge Catalyst story. “Warning Call” is available to stream and download at all major service providers today. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst launches on June 7th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin for PC.
Koei Tecmo today unveiled new details on pre-order bonuses and gameplay for Attack on Titan, the fast-paced action game based on the anime. Scheduled for launch on August 30th, Attack on Titan will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and digitally on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC via Steam.
Two bonus costumes are available to those who pre-order Attack on Titan from Amazon, Best Buy, EB Canada and GameStop: the Cleaner’s Weapon and Costume for Eren and Levi as well as Mikasa’s Festival Costume. Those who purchase the game via the PlayStation Store will receive Attack on Titan avatars to be used for the PlayStation Network.
Bethesda Softworks today announced that its first-person shooter, DOOM, is now available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Blizzard Entertainment today announced that more than 9.7 million players played its upcoming team-based shooter Overwatch during the Open Beta for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, making it Blizzard’s biggest open beta ever. By the time the Open Beta came to a close on May 10th, participants had joined forces for more than 4.9 billion minutes (over 81 million hours) across more than 37 million matches.
Overwatch arrives in stores on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting May 24th.
Electronic Arts today officially unveiled the Madden NFL 17 cover art, featuring New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski.
EA also released a Madden NFL 17 video today showcasing Gronkowski and the first of several new features for next-gen consoles in this year’s game, including a new path assist feature, new defensive AI and expansion of ball carrier special moves, which give players new creative controls on the ground, all of which are featured on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.
Madden NFL 17 will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on August 23rd.
Electronic Arts today announced the launch of Live Event Competitions, a brand new competitive experience in EA Sports UFC 2 Live Events mode. Starting May 14th, fans can play the qualifiers in the Live Event Competition to start fighting for their chance to earn Ultimate Team rewards and a trip to compete at the live finals coinciding with UFC Fan Expo, part of the 5th Annual UFC International Fight Week, and UFC 200: Cormier vs. Jones 2 in Las Vegas. The winner of the grand final match, taking place on July 8th at the UFC Fan Expo in Las Vegas, will receive $10,000 USD and walk away with the belt as the EA Sports UFC 2 World Champion.
Players enter the competition in Live Events on the EA Sports UFC 2 menu, select one of four athletes fighting on an upcoming card, customize their athlete by applying five out of 10 fighter perks, and start competing online. All available in-game fighters are balanced with the same overall attribute rating and move level. Rankings on the global leaderboard are determined by the number of wins a player can accumulate during the qualifying period before taking three losses. Players are encouraged to go back and fight again as many times as they’d like to improve their top score during the qualifying period.
At the end of each qualifying period, eligible players with the top scores on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be invited to compete in the finals in Las Vegas where the champion will be crowned at the UFC Fan Expo leading up to UFC 200: Cormier vs. Jones 2, which takes place on July 9th. The semi-finalists will receive tickets to the event and other special prizes. The finalists aren’t the only ones who win though, as all players who compete in the Live Event Competition will have a chance to earn in-game rewards based on their overall performance.
iFun4all today announced Serial Cleaner, a story-driven, fast-paced stealth/action game, characterized by a 1970s theme and aesthetics.
The protagonist is a professional cleaner, which means he takes care of cleaning up murder scenes by disposing bodies, covering up blood stains and hiding murder weapons and other incriminating evidence. He takes on jobs without asking questions, working shady assignments for the mafia, as well as helping out (for a fee of course) regular people, who for one reason or another, murdered somebody or unwillingly caused a lethal accident. The storyline revolves around a copycat killer, who commits murders similar to the latest highly-popularized killings that have taken the media by storm.
Two fan favorites from the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remastered, are now available on Steam. Both titles have been completely remastered in high definition. For a limited time, fans can purchase the game at a 20% discount until May 19th.
