Super Mario Adventures Returns this October in New Edition

VIZ Media today announced the return of Super Mario Adventures as the long out-of-print graphic novel receives an October 11th release.

Presented in full color and inspired by the bestselling Nintendo video game franchise, Super Mario Adventures is a tale featuring beloved characters Mario and Luigi (and Yoshi), with a story by Kentaro Takekuma and artwork by Charlie Nozawa. The comics originally ran in Nintendo Power magazine in 1992-93.

Super Mario Adventures collects the full series into a single-volume edition that will receive a remastered full-color print release with an MSRP of $14.99 USD / $17.99 CAD.

In the story, the peril-plagued Princess Toadstool is kidnapped by the diabolical deadbeat Bowser but super plumbers Mario and Luigi hatch a plan with their new friend Yoshi to rescue her. Are the Super Mario Bros.’ plans a pipe dream? Can they stop the Koopa King before he forces the Princess to be his bride?!

The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack Announced

Electronic Arts today announced that The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack is coming to PC on November 1st.

City Living will expand The Sims 4 with a new world for Sims to explore. Players can discover everything the bustling city of San Myshuno has to offer, from the noisy neighbors and landlords that come only with apartment living, to exotic flavors and new destinations Sims can find just outside their door.

Players can help their Sims work their way up from a starter apartment to a penthouse, while trying one of three new metropolitan-themed careers, including Politician. Visit or live in one of the four unique neighborhoods, join in a series of dynamic street festivals, and rock out at the new Karaoke bar. Not to mention, Sims can also enjoy new activities at home or out on the town, ranging from playing with a new video game console, to mural painting, basketball, and more.

Private Match Feature Available Now Before Destiny: Rise of Iron Launches

Announced during the first-ever Destiny Private Match competition hosted by Major League Gaming, and in celebration of the upcoming launch of Destiny: Rise of Iron, the new ‘Private Match’ feature is available now for Destiny owners on current-gen consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Private Match feature gives Destiny players the keys to the Crucible with the ability to challenge friends and foes alike in 18 competitive modes on almost 30 maps.

Celebrate 10 Years of Dead Rising with the Return of the Undead Classics

Dead Rising is celebrating its zombie-infested 10th Anniversary with the release of the outbreaks that started it all, as Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record are out now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The original Dead Rising is also available on Steam as a digital download beginning today. All three titles return to take advantage of the current generation hardware systems, bringing all of the zombie slaying action up to 1080p at 60 fps. Each new version of the game also includes all of the additional previously-released DLC costumes.

Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as a Steam version of the original Dead Rising, are available now as individual download titles for $19.99. A physical release of Dead Rising is available today on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and a physical release of Dead Rising 2 will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 27th.

Square Enix details everything that builders will need to know about Dragon Quest Builders with today’s new trailer.

The “What is Dragon Quest Builders?” trailer introduces the basics of building – such as gathering materials and crafting items in order to build anything you can imagine. The trailer also features how players will complete quests to help friendly NPC’s while battling the evil Dragonlord to restore peace to the shattered realm.

Dragon Quest Builders will arrive on October 11th for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita (digital only).

ReCore Arrives on Xbox One and Windows 10

Microsoft Studios today announced that ReCore, their first Xbox Play Anywhere game, is available starting now on Xbox One and Windows 10. From creator Keiji Inafune’s Comcept Inc., Armature Studio, the makers of the Metroid Prime franchise, and Microsoft Studios, ReCore is an original action-adventure game crafted for the modern generation.

As the first Xbox Play Anywhere game, ReCore gives fans access to both the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of the game for the price of a single digital purchase of $39.99, and is available at Microsoft Stores and additional retailers. Progress and Achievements are shared across devices so players can easily pick up where they left off, no matter where they play.
