Battlefield 1 Open Beta is the Biggest in EA History

Today, Electronic Arts and DICE said thank you to all its players and announced that the Battlefield 1 Open Beta was the biggest in EA history, with over 13.2 million players that participated over the course of 9 days. That’s more than double the strength of the British and Ottoman Empires deployed in the Middle East during WW1. The assault class was also most used, followed by the Scout.

Battlefield 1 will be available on October 21st for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Origin.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Story Trailer

Activision and Infinity Ward today released a brand new story trailer that gives fans a glimpse into the narrative featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s story campaign.

The trailer also features the first in-game footage of actor Kit Harington, who plays Admiral Salen Kotch of the Settlement Defense Front, and UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who plays Captain Bradley Fillion of the Settlement Defense Front.

Additionally, fans can pre-order the game to get access to the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta that begins October 14th, first on PlayStation 4.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled for release November 4th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

NHL 17 World Cup of Hockey Simulation Video

EA Sports today released the official NHL 17 World Cup of Hockey Simulation video. Check out who NHL 17 is predicting to be crowned the World Cup of Hockey champion for the first time in 12 years.

NHL 17 is also celebrating the World Cup of Hockey by giving hockey fans awesome prizes throughout the tournament to winners of the World Cup of Hockey #NHL 17 Contest, including copies of NHL 17, adidas World Cup of Hockey prize packs, and PlayStation 4 consoles with a copy of the game included. During the tournament between September 17 and October 1, every time a goal is scored in the World Cup of Hockey, Tweet using the hashtag #NHL17Contest, tag a friend and tell us who scored the goal for a chance to win awesome prizes.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk Coming in February

Koei Tecmo today revealed new information regarding the North American release of developer Omega Force’s most brutal Warriors title to date. Based on the manga and anime series Berserk by Kentarou Miura, the game will be released as Berserk and the Band of the Hawk on February 21st for the PlayStation 4, digitally for the PlayStation Vita and on PC via Steam.

A brand new trailer released today introduce Guts’ companions Casca, Judeau, Serpico and Schierke – all of whom will be playable characters within Berserk and the Band of the Hawk.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III Reveals First Elite Hero

As we gear up toward the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, Sega and Relic Entertainment will be unveiling some of the new and returning units that fans will be able to command.

Jonah Orion, Chief Librarian of the Blood Ravens, is a psyker of tremendous renown. First seen in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Chaos Rising, Orion returns to battle in Dawn of War III as one of the powerful Elite units at the player’s disposal. Oh, and he’s joined by a demonic Cherub familiar, through which he channels his psychic abilities. So, there’s that.

In the Blood Ravens’ darkest hours, Jonah Orion endured the predations of the Tyranid Hive Mind that wiped out his fellow Librarians. Charging into battle after battle, he miraculously survived what was thought to be mortal wounds. His sacrifices caught the attention of Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos, who promoted him to Chief Librarian of the Blood Ravens.

Orion’s powerful support and crowd control abilities make him an incredible asset on the battlefield. Combining his abilities in creative ways will be the key to success. Effects from each of his abilities grant buffs to allies while crippling enemies, making for powerful combinations that can turn the tide of battle.

Atlas Reactor Open Beta Kicks Off Today

Trion Worlds today announced that its simultaneous turn-based battle arena game Atlas Reactor will launch on October 4th for Steam and Glyph. The fast-paced team tactics game is available now for pre-purchase through Trion or Steam for $19.99 USD; when Atlas Reactor officially launches on October 4th, it will carry the full retail price of $29.99 USD.

Beginning today, gamers looking to get a taste of the game’s strategic, fast-paced action can put their skills to the test in the Atlas Reactor Open Beta (Sept 15 – 25). Founders who pre-purchase the game can jump into the full game early during Head Start, which begins September 30th.

In celebration of Atlas Reactor’s Open Beta kickoff, Trion has also unveiled the first full-length trailer for the game, a 3-minute cinematic created in partnership with visual effects firm Blur Studio.

Batman – The Telltale Series Episode 2 Coming September 20th

Telltale Games has unveiled the new trailer for Batman – The Telltale Series – Episode 2: Children of Arkham.

With Gotham City’s first family mired in corruption, and an old friend now a dangerous adversary, the life of the Dark Knight is turned upside down. What was Thomas Wayne entangled in, and why was he killed? Determined to learn the truth about his father, Bruce sets out to question those involved in Gotham’s criminal past. World of Final Fantasy – TGS 2016 Trailer

At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix released a new World of Final Fantasy trailer that follows the journey of siblings Reynn and Lann as they enter the world of Grymoire. Bound by prophecy to lead the world to salvation or ruin, they encounter a multitude of familiar Final Fantasy beasts and characters, including Faris and her pirate moogles (Final Fantasy V), Rydia and her companion mist dragon (Final Fantasy IV) and the young summoner Eiko (Final Fantasy IX). The trailer also features the opening theme song “Innocence2” performed by Mizuki.

The Day One edition of the game is available now for pre-order through the Square Enix Online Store and at participating retailers for $59.99. The Day One edition includes extra digital content including an exclusive Sephiroth summon and the Japanese voice-over option add-on. The Collector’s Edition, presented as a physical pop-up book containing an 80-page hardbound artbook, three mini-figurines, Sounds of the World soundtrack CD, extra digital content and more, is also available in limited quantities exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store.

World of Final Fantasy will arrive on October 25th for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita.
