Fractured Space Launches

Edge Case Games today announced that the team-based space combat game, Fractured Space, has officially launched and is available free-to-play on Steam. As shown in today’s Launch Phase 1 trailer, Fractured Space pits two teams of five capital ships against each other in matches that highlight teamwork and strategy with MOBA-style lanes and sectors as players work toward the ultimate goal of destroying the enemy’s team base.

Make Your Mark in FIFA 17 with Play First Trials

EA Sports’ FIFA 17 will be available on September 27th, but EA Access members on Xbox One and Origin Access members on PC can play up to 10 hours of FIFA 17 now. Members can unlock special custom EA Access and Origin Access FUT kits by completing a limited-time Squad Building Challenge. These challenges will only be available during the Play First Trial. Complete the challenge and your reward will carry over to FIFA 17 if you purchase the game.

Reus – Release Trailer

Indie game publisher SOEDESCO announced today that the god-game Reus by Abbey Games will make its console debut October 11th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Reus is a god-game where players control a planet and rule four giants. Each giant has its own unique powers and abilities that enable players to shape and evolve the planet. If the player manages to combine their powers correctly, they can cultivate a peaceful environment for human civilization. Keep the humans happy and they will develop and expand their tribes… but don’t spoil them too much, as they might become greedy and start a war!

Road Rage – Open World Trailer

Maximum Games has released a brand new video for its upcoming open-world, melee-based combat motorcycle racing game, Road Rage, focusing on the city of Ashen and the neighborhoods that players will fight to control. Road Rage is set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 15th.

WWE 2K17 Reveals DLC Offerings, Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Editions

2K today announced details surrounding the DLC offerings, Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Editions for WWE 2K17. The DLC offerings will include playable characters from WWE, NXT, WCW and WCCW; a playable match showcase based on the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016; a host of new in-game moves; and access to both unlockable content and player progression features. The individual content packages will begin releasing in late 2016, with some packages releasing in early 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, as well as Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The WWE 2K17 DLC offerings are scheduled to include the following items and be available for purchase on the PlayStation Network as well as Xbox Live:

Accelerator

  • Players will gain instant access to all content available in the game’s VC Purchasable section (excluding DLC);
  • Players can also decide overall rankings and attribute levels for all playable characters throughout the life of the product;

Future Stars Pack

  • Playable WWE and NXT Superstars: Austin Aries, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Mojo Rawley and Tye Dillinger;

Hall of Fame Showcase

  • Playable matches include:

Tyranny – Developer Diary #2: Art and Animation

Paradox Interactive and Obsidian Entertainment today released the second behind-the-scenes video for Tyranny, the upcoming RPG set in an original world where evil has conquered the land. The new video focuses on the game’s design from the art, animation, and music side, introducing viewers to the many creators behind the aesthetics of Tyranny. Many details are shared on the concepts that went into the game’s companions, environments, and more.

Tyranny is scheduled to arrive for PC in 2016.

Ride 2 – Bikes and Day One Edition Detailed

Square Enix and Milestone today revealed its list of bikes for the upcoming motorcycle racer, Ride 2, which launches February 14th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

Ride 2 will feature a grand total of 190 bikes from 22 of the world’s leading bike manufacturers, which includes 174 bikes and 16 modifiable models. Choose from an assortment of options including: nakeds, superbikes, supersports, electric bikes, two-stroke bikes, café racers and supermotos.

For even more options, the Day One Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will include four exclusive bikes – the Ducati Hypermotard SP, Kawasaki ZZR 1400, Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory, Suzuki Hayabusa and a pack of 20 helmets.

Gears of War 4 Goes Gold

Microsoft today announced that Gears of War 4 has been released to manufacturing ahead of its October 11th worldwide release.

This also marks a major milestone for Xbox as the first-ever Gears of War title available in the Xbox Play Anywhere program, available simultaneously for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Additionally, Gears of War 4 also supports Cross Play across Xbox One and Windows 10 PC in all of the game’s modes, including Versus, campaign and the all-new Horde 3.0 survival mode.
