Gigantic Enters Open Beta on Windows 10 and Xbox One

Perfect World Entertainment and Motiga today announced Gigantic is now in Open Beta as part of the Xbox Game Preview Program. The free-to-play competitive action MOBA is available on the Windows Store (Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One) and features cross-play between platforms. Players looking to unlock more for their Gigantic experience can also purchase the Founder’s Pack ($39.99) to gain access to all 16 current heroes, four upcoming heroes and additional unique rewards. The Founder’s Pack offers a substantial savings to players looking to establish themselves right away.

Open Beta via the Xbox Game Preview Program features a weekly rotation of six heroes from a roster of 16 and three maps: Siren’s Stand, Ghost Reef and Sanctum Falls. Each hero features a unique playstyle that can be further customized through comprehensive skill trees during each match. Teams work together to attack enemies while claiming points on the map to summon powerful Creatures. Players will power up their team’s Guardian by controlling the battlefield and defeating enemies. Victory is awarded to the team who can overpower their opponents’ Guardian.

Throughout Open Beta and long after launch Motiga will be releasing new Heroes, Maps, Guardians and Creatures so stay tuned as the game continues to expand and evolve. Gigantic and the Founder’s Pack is available now on Windows 10 and Xbox One via the Xbox Game Preview Program, but will follow on Arc (PC) at a later date.

Shadow Warrior 2: The Way of the Wang Free DLC Available Now

Indie developer Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital have released Shadow Warrior 2: The Way of the Wang, a free DLC pack for the first-person slasher on Steam and GOG. Shadow Warrior 2 will be 25% off through the weekend to celebrate the launch of the new free DLC.

Shadow Warrior 2’s The Way of the Wang DLC opens up a new area within the game’s hub town, presenting seven special trials for Lo Wang to unlock and overcome. Players will be able to earn new crafting abilities, weapon gem slots, and base weapon upgrade perks upon completing each new trial with the prized Fist of Gozu weapon waiting for those that complete the final Trial of the Ancient God mission. Shadow Warrior 2 fans will also find three new ‘Insane’ difficulty levels for the game and five new achievements waiting for them in the DLC pack.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto – ‘A New Era’ Trailer

Bandai Namco has unveiled a new trailer for Road to Boruto, the upcoming expansion to Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Through this video, players will rediscover all the content offered by this expansion and will learn more about the many features newly implemented. Characters, modes, attacks, combination and much more are highlighted along with new in-game footage.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto will be available on February 3rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Dragon Quest Heroes II Coming to PS4 on April 25th

Square Enix announced today that Dragon Quest Heroes II will launch on April 25th exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Set in an all-new world with new heroes and story, Dragon Quest Heroes II is an action-RPG that sends players on a grand adventure to restore order to a once peaceful world. With the addition of multiplayer functionality, players can form a party of up to four online to conquer swarms of enemies and defeat gigantic monsters.

NieR: Automata Demo Goes Live on December 22nd

On December 22nd, the consumer demo of NieR: Automata will be available on the PlayStation Network. With an abandoned factory as the backdrop, the demo follows android 2B’s mission to destroy a massive enemy weapon that lies within.

NieR: Automata will be available for the PlayStation 4 on March 7th.

The Magical World of Fantastic Beasts Comes to LEGO Dimensions

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new LEGO Dimensions story trailer that shows off what happens when the magical mysteries of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them venture into other LEGO Dimensions worlds.

In the latest Story Pack for LEGO Dimensions, the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them make their debut as LEGO characters and critters. Players can experience scenes from the film firsthand in LEGO Dimensions, set in a magical 1920’s New York, or take the Fantastic Beasts folks into other entertainment universes.

In the trailer, watch as a LEGO Newt Scamander encounters some otherworldly fantastic beasts like Gollum and Scooby Doo.

The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Sheogorath Returns to Drive The Elder Scrolls: Legends Into Madness

Next week, Sheogorath – the Elder Scrolls’ Daedric Prince of Madness – will take control of The Elder Scrolls: Legends and plunge the game into chaos with a limited time special event. Beginning December 14th, players will find a new alternate PVP Arena mode – Chaos Arena – where random and surprising special lane rules and scenarios will take affect and challenge players to develop new and emerging strategies on the fly.

Chaos Arena is an new optional mode for PvP that will randomly introduce one or more special scenarios or lane rules to each match. Some of the special Scenarios include starting the game with extra Magicka; beginning the game with cards already in the lanes; having the players swap entire decks at the beginning of the game; and much more. Lane rules changes include attaching random items to cards played in a lane; effects like Windy lanes, where cards change lanes randomly throughout the game; receiving buffs and bonuses by casting cards in a certain lane; and much more. Previously special lane conditions and scenarios were only available in PvE matches.

In conjunction with Chaos Arena, a new set of special cards – the Madhouse Collection – will be released, providing a fresh set of strategic options for players. Purchasing the Madhouse Collection will earn players three copies of each card as well as an Arena Ticket so players can try Chaos Arena right away. The Madhouse Collection cards will be immediately added to all Arena modes, including Sheogorath’s Chaos Arena. These cards will be available for purchase either with in-game gold or for money through the store beginning December 15th.

Chaos Arena will begin December 14th and end on December 19th.

Elite Dangerous Coming to PS4 in 2017

Frontier Developments today announced it will bring its massively multiplayer space game Elite Dangerous to the PlayStation 4 in 2017.

Elite Dangerous will launch for PlayStation 4 in Q2 2017 with every game expansion to date, the full Elite Dangerous: Horizons season pass and custom PlayStation 4 features, including:

  • Touch Navigation: Explore Elite Dangerous’ map of the Milky Way with a swipe using touchpad controls that make navigation fast and easy.
  • Extra Control: Customize four additional touchpad ‘hotkeys’ to suit your own play style.
  • Fast Headlook: Quickly track your enemies in the heat of combat with optional motion-based headlook controls powered by the DualShock 4 wireless controller.

PlayStation 4 Pro players will further benefit from enhanced performance throughout Elite Dangerous.
