Dropzone, a competitive multiplayer PC game developed by Sparkypants Studios and published by Gameforge, today added much-requested new game modes and announced an upcoming transition to free-to-play. The number one community-requested feature Team 3v3 is an accessible new mode that streamlines gameplay for new players and anyone seeking a more team-based experience. And for seasoned Dropzone veterans, Ranked Draft 1v1 is a new mode built to intensify competition at the highest levels of play. The biggest change arrives the following week on April 12th, when Dropzone transitions from a paid title to a free-to-play experience available to anyone with a Steam account. These new modes are joined by ongoing performance, balancing and game polish improvements, and leading into the free-to-play transition, the Squad Edition and Commander Edition content bundles are available at a substantial discount. Dropzone is a hybrid of real-time strategy and multiplayer online battle arena action, available now via Steam Early Access.
Indie developer Dodge Roll Games and publisher Devolver Digital today released Enter the Gungeon on Xbox One and the Windows 10 Store. The gunfight dungeon crawler is part of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative and supports both cross-buy and cross-save features between Xbox One and Windows 10.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Disney today announced details about Cars 3: Driven to Win, the competitive racing game that features characters from the upcoming Disney•Pixar Cars 3 film in an entirely new interactive experience. Cars 3: Driven to Win is being developed by Avalanche Software, newly re-opened under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch and Wii U beginning June 13th.
Picking up after the final big race in the film, Cars 3: Driven to Win extends the storyline of Cars 3 with all-new adventures and takes players through a high-speed competition that is filled with both familiar and new faces. Players will be able to join Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez as they prepare to take on rival racer Jackson Storm. The game features more than 20 customizable playable characters including popular heroes from the Cars franchise and next generation racers. Players can also select their favourite race environments from a series of settings from the film, such as Radiator Springs and Florida International Speedway, with over 20 unique tracks to choose from across 13 different locations.
Activision and Infinity Ward have released the first details for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Continuum, the second DLC Map Pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Featuring four new multiplayer maps and a new zombies co-op experience called Shaolin Shuffle, set in a ‘70s era New York disco-zombie fright fest, Continuum is scheduled for release April 18th, first on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 4, with other platforms to follow.
Shaolin Shuffle features the return of Willard Wyler, the mysterious movie director villain portrayed with voice and likeness by Paul Reubens. This time, Wyler has trapped the four protagonists inside a new horror film, set in the unforgettable 1970s. Players will face all-new zombie enemies across a variety of disco-era New York locations, including subways, flashy nightclubs and a martial arts dojo headed up by the “Shaolin Sister,” played with voice and likeness by Pam Grier. In addition to hallmark Call of Duty action, Shaolin Shuffle introduces four unlockable kung fu fighting styles, each with its own set of unique combat moves. Seth Green as “the Punk Rocker;” Ike Barinholtz as “the Sleazebag;” Jay Pharoah as “the Street Poet;” and Sasheer Zamata as “the Disco Chick,” all return from the ongoing story in this all-new experience.

Starting today, players can take on the hero’s mantle and help restore peace to the Seven Realms in the new Dragon Quest Heroes II demo, available now as a free download on the PlayStation Store.
The demo gives players an early chance to play as four of the 15 playable heroes from the full game’s story mode, including series newcomers Lazarel and Teresa, along with fan favorites Carver (Dragon Quest VI) and Maribel (Dragon Quest VII). Players will experience the game’s fast-paced battle system, expansive environments and abundant treasures through specially-designed quests where they must defend Greena Pastures from hordes of monsters and a colossal boss.

Atlus today announced that the long-awaited JRPG Persona 5 is now available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
The newest transfer student of Shujin Academy in Tokyo is a bad kid. Well, that’s what the rumors say at least. The truth is that the protagonist of Persona 5 was framed for a crime he didn’t commit by crooked authority figures in his hometown. Unfortunately, he’s simply the victim of a corrupt system, and he must remain on his best behavior in order to avoid more trouble with society. This will definitely prove difficult because he soon discovers the power to travel into another world, known as the Metaverse, and change the most distorted desires of wicked people. Players will guide the protagonist and his motley crew of misfits, known as the Phantom Thieves, as they venture into the Metaverse to battle evil shadows, negotiate with Personas, solve puzzles, discover secrets, and change the hearts of evil people by stealing their most vile core desire. Oh, and they’ll need to do all this while pretending to be normal Japanese high-school students.
