Funcom today released a new video where lead developers explain just how different combat will feel in Secret World Legends. In addition to moving from traditional MMO tab-targeting to a more action-inspired reticule mode, each of Secret World Legends’ nine weapons features entirely new and unique mechanics. Now fully free-to-play, Secret World Legends will re-launch for PC on June 26th.
Ubisoft today outlined its plans for E3 2017, including showing more from Far Cry 5 and South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and revealing details on the latest installments of Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, and The Crew. In addition, Ubisoft will offer up new titles across a variety of platforms, and keep visitors and viewers at home engaged with a week full of entertainment.
To kick off the festivities, Ubisoft’s E3 2017 Conference takes place on Monday, June 12, starting at 4 p.m. EST. A 40-minute pre-show starts at 3:20 EST. The pre-show and conference will be broadcast live and on-demand at Ubisoft.com, Ubisoft’s YouTube channel and Ubisoft’s Twitch channel. Then, from June 13 to 15, E3 visitors can see and play Ubisoft’s latest games at its booth (#1623, South Hall, LACC) and participate in a range of on-site activities.
Deep Silver today unveiled the 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6 as the fourth classic F1 car that will feature in F1 2017, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on August 25th. A brand new trailer showcases the World Constructors’ Championship winning 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6, as driven by the 2010 World Champion Sebastian Vettel and teammate Mark Webber. Further classic cars will be revealed in the coming weeks.

XSEED Games today revealed the first title in its E3 2017 lineup: Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Developed by Edelweiss, the indie creators of the sci-fi shoot-’em-up Astebreed, and revealed last year in Japan at Comic Market 90, Sakuna offers a genre-defying mixture of side-scrolling action with the complexities of rice cultivation set against the mystical backdrop of Japanese mythology. Sakuna is now confirmed for release in North America on the PlayStation 4 an PC, and will be playable in English for the first time at the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The world of Valkyria Revolution is inspired by the European industrial revolution era and focuses on a war of liberation between two vastly different nations. With this in mind, composer Yasunori Mitsuda has created a score that reflects the classic feel of that era for the game. What better way to do this than to have the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra conduct a live concert-hall recording for the soundtrack? Plus, previous Mitsuda collaborator Sarah Àlainn, a multilingual Australian-Japanese singer with a voice spanning over 3 octaves, lends her voice to a couple tracks.

Based on the previously announced title Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown has taken the original concept in a different direction under a new development team.
