Bandai Namco today announced details for its upcoming Tekken World Tour Finals tournament, presented by Nissin Cup Noodles. For the first time in its 20+ year franchise history, the Tekken World Finals will be held outside of Japan. Tekken fans will bear witness to the crowning of a new Tekken World Champion on November 12th as 16 of the best fighters from around the globe converge upon the City View at Metreon in San Francisco, California for an all-day battle royale to determine a new Tekken champion. The event will also be livestreamed exclusively on Twitch.
The hard-hitting kicks off at 12:00pm PST as the first double elimination rounds of the Tekken World Tour Finals begin. The 16 top seeded players representing the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions will attempt to destroy their opponents, and from the pile of vanquished foes, two finalists will emerge for the final match. Tekken franchise Director, Katsuhiro Harada, and Senior Designer, Michael Murray, will both be in attendance to meet fans and be on-hand to crown the new Tekken champion at the end of the night who will take home a $50,000 prize purse, secure a place in Tekken history, and earn eternal bragging rights.
Iceberg Interactive and developer Davit Andreasyan today announced the release of the psychological horror game Inmates on PC via Steam and all major digital retailers for $9.99. To mark the game’s release, there will be a 10% discount for the week of launch.
Kalypso Media today revealed that in addition to a 15% discount, instant Beta access, digital soundtrack and bonus Horde Throne Room DLC already included in the Steam pre-purchase offer for Dungeons 3, a free copy of Dungeons 2 will also be added into the mix. Customers that already own Dungeons 2 will receive an extra copy that they can gift to a friend. All customers that have already pre-purchased Dungeons 3 will also receive a free copy of Dungeons 2. Dungeons 3 is scheduled to launch on October 13th for PC, and October 17th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Indie developer Saber Interactive has released “Hot N’ Frosty,” the first paid DLC for NBA Playgrounds. It features three new playgrounds (Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Miami), each with their own tournament, as well as eight new rookies (Markelle Fultz, Jayson Tatum, Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith Jr., Jonathan Isaac and Malik Monk).
“Hot N’ Frosty” is available now on the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store, Xbox One through the Xbox Games Store, and PC via Steam for $9.99. It will launch soon after on Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo eShop.
Saber has also released the fourth free content update for NBA Playgrounds on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. This latest addition to the game introduces 45 new players (including Phil Jackson, Jamal Mashburn and Jalen Rose), five YouTubers (MaxBlack, NickTheBullsFan, GoodGameBro, TmarTn2 and KYRSP33DY) and second team jerseys for 15 players already in the game (including Steve Nash, Chris Webber and Muggsy Bogues). This free content update will be available on the Nintendo Switch at a later date.

Hand of Fate 2, the follow-up to 2015’s action RPG, launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 7th. Releasing day-and-date with the Xbox One X, Hand of Fate 2 will support 4K HD on the system at launch.
Alongside the release date, Defiant Development unveiled the title’s fourth and final companion, Ariadne of Stiegal. Companions, a new addition to the Hand of Fate franchise, offer support in battle, exclusive perks in the meta board game, dialogue options, and have their own storylines. In combat, Ariadne acts as a melee tank character with armor break abilities, while in the board game she can duplicate cards in games of chance to improve the player’s odds dramatically.
Maximum Games and developer Iron Galaxy present a brand-new gameplay trailer for their upcoming action-adventure game, Extinction, arriving Q1 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Versus Evil, in partnership with indie developer Tuatara Games, today announced that the pixel-style survival mode shooter, Let Them Come, is now available on PC for $4.99 and on Xbox One for $7.99, with a PS4 version launching later in the year. Players take on the role of Rock Gunar, an interstellar, cigar chewing mercenary gun for hire with alien blood on his hands. Twitchy trigger fingers and focused battle tactics are the order of the day as players take on the survival mode to wipe out the alien hordes, one wave at a time.
On the eve of Wednesday’s puck drop to start the 2017-18 NHL regular season, EA Sports today released the results of its annual season simulation.
Powered by NHL 18, the season simulator predicts the Tampa Bay Lightning will triumph over the Edmonton Oilers and take home the Stanley Cup for the first time since 2004. After an eventful 7-game series and a 3-2 win in the final game, Tampa Bay Captain Steven Stamkos will lead the team to victory, resulting in the team’s second Stanley Cu® win in franchise history after narrowly missing out in 2015.
