Call of Duty: WWII – The Resistance Event Trailer

Activision today released a new trailer for Call of Duty: WWII – The Resistance. Prepare for The Resistance DLC with a new free limited time in-game event starting January 23rd, including the new Resistance Division, more free weapons, the return of Demolition, all-new Resistance gear, 2XP playlists, and more.

The Darwin Project Kicks Off Its First Open Beta Weekend

Scavengers Studio today announced that The Darwin Project, a Hunger Games-esque, battle-royale game built around audience participation, will enter its first open beta period this weekend on PC. Simply head to Steam to pre-load the game’s client, and you’ll be set to join the manhunt between the following times:

Start: Friday, January 19 at Noon PST / 3:00pm EST
End: Sunday, December 21 at 9:00pm PST / Midnight EST

The beta will include two new features that take full advantage of the interactive functionality of streaming platforms like Mixer, and enable viewers to control the way the contest unfolds:

• Stream hosts, called “Show Directors,” is the host and master who controls the arena with nuclear bombs, zone closures, gravity storms, and the power of their voice. He/She can queue and trigger various in-game events that viewers can vote on and influence, enabling the audience to shift the rules of engagement, or even the arena itself.
• ex: The “Manhunt” power, viewers can collectively vote to select a Manhunt target. Once set, all match players are notified and incentivized to focus and eliminate the Manhunt target for extra points.

Releasing on PC and Xbox One, The Darwin Project is slated to hit Early Access in Q1 2018 and launch in spring 2018.

We Happy Few – Production Update and Story Teaser

Today, Compulsion Games released a developer update video detailing what’s to come for We Happy Few, including a glimpse at the second playable character, Sally. We Happy Few is now content complete, Compulsion Games announced, and the team is taking more time to polish following some major improvements to the beginning of Arthur’s storyline.

We Happy Few will now release in Summer 2018 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory Now Available

Bandai Namco today announced the release of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory for the PlayStation 4 and digitally for the PlayStation Vita.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth — Hacker’s Memory brings classic turn-based gameplay back to Digimon fans and JRPG enthusiasts. Players take on the role of Keisuke Amazawa who has been accused of crimes he didn’t commit. Diving into the Digital World, players will unravel the truth behind the crimes, clear Keisuke’s name, and protect his family and friends.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] Coming February 9th

Aksys Games today announced that Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st], the definitive full-featured version of the fighting game from Arc System Works, will be available on February 9th for the PlayStation 4 as well as digitally for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 Coming March 27th

NIS America today announced that The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 will be arriving on March 27th exclusively for the PlayStation 4. To celebrate, we have a new gameplay trailer showcasing Hundred Knight’s fighting skills, dialogue cutscenes, and bosses.

Boxed Limited and Vinyl Editions of Before the Storm Coming March 6th

Square Enix today announced that boxed Vinyl and Limited Editions of Life is Strange: Before the Storm, the latest game in the episodic franchise will be released on March 6th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Alongside the Boxed Editions, the Bonus Episode entitled Farewell will be launching digitally on March 6th.

The Limited Edition contains a physical art book featuring art from Life is Strange: Before the Storm plus the licensed soundtrack on CD. A separate Vinyl Edition is also available exclusively from the Square Enix Store. This includes all content from the Limited Edition as well as an exclusive vinyl set of the licensed soundtrack.

TT Isle of Man – “The Rush” Trailer

Bigben and Kylotonn today unveiled a new video dubbed “The Rush” for the TT Isle of Man motorcycle racing game which will be released in March on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Battlefield 1 Apocalypse Releasing in February

Battlefield 1 Apocalypse, the fourth expansion, is coming for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners in February.

Adding five multiplayer maps to the mix, including the bloody, muddy hell of Passchendaele and the Austro-Italian clash of Caporetto that portray, these are two of the most infamous battles of World War 1. The scenic wheat fields by River Somme transform into a nightmare after devastating artillery barrages. On London Calling and Razor’s Edge maps, players can live out their dogfight fantasies in aerial combat, including mastering the skies in the new Air Assault game mode. Players will also get their hands on new vehicles, weapons, and gadgets, along with new ranks, Service Assignments, Specializations, and Dog Tags.
