Sega today announced that Sega Genesis Classics is set to release both digitally and physically for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 29th.
The collection has over 50 retro classics to experience across every genre; arcade action, shooters, beat’m ups, puzzlers, old favourites and hidden gems, with a raft of modern features. These include online multiplayer, achievements, mirror modes, rewind and save states.
The physical edition will be available to pre-order soon and comes complete with a double-sided Golden Axe and Streets of Rage poster. Details of digital pre-order will be available soon.
Players of Sega Genesis Classics on Steam will also be treated to a free update to the feature set, giving it parity with the console launch when it releases on May 29th.

Dotemu today announced an entirely new division of its company – The Arcade Crew. The new division is dedicated to producing and publishing new titles from small creative teams and is poised to release its first game this year – Blazing Chrome, a sidescrolling action game from Brazilian developer Joymasher.
Blazing Chrome is inspired by classics like Metal Slug and Contra and will be on display at the Game Developer’s Conference next week. The fast-paced run-and-gun title will launch in 2018 and represents the style and approach The Arcade Crew plans for all its titles.

Indie developer 13AM Games and publisher Headup Games today announced that the party game Runbow is coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch digitally on April 24th. The game will also be hitting retail on June 14th as a “Deluxe Edition” including all DLCs and physical goodies to be announced at a later date.

Activision today announced that Operation: Shamrock & Awe, Call of Duty: WWII’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed community event, has begun. From now until April 3rd, Call of Duty: WWII gets a St. Paddy’s Day makeover, with a new limited-time Multiplayer playlist, two time-limited gear collections and special Orders and Contracts that yield special items and weapons.
Indie developer Toxic Games today announced that Q.U.B.E. 2, its sequel to the 2011 first-person puzzler Q.U.B.E., is available now on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $24.99. On Steam, Humble Bundle, GOG and Greenman Gaming, Q.U.B.E. 2 is subject to a 20% launch discount.
Kalypso Media today revealed an all-new gameplay trailer for its upcoming RPG, Shadows: Awakening. The new video shows a selection of the different playable characters that await when players take control of the Devourer later in 2018 – each offering a wealth of deadly abilities that can be combined across realms to devastating effect with the game’s unique party system.
Shadows: Awakening is currently scheduled for a Summer 2018 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
