After a successful release on PC, 1C is bringing the third-person Norse horror adventure Through the Woods to console platforms. The game will be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 2nd and May 8th, respectively.

Atari today announced that pre-sales of its new Atari VCS hardware platform will start May 30th. The pre-sale is exclusive to Indiegogo and features the time-limited Atari VCS Collector’s Edition featuring the special retro-inspired wood-front. In addition to the Collector’s Edition, fans will have the option to pre-order the Atari VCS Onyx, a black version. Early-bird Atari VCS packages will be offered, including the Onyx starting at $199 USD for a limited period of time. Other packages will include the Classic Joystick and Modern Controller. Initial Atari VCS shipments are planned for Spring 2019.
The VCS is a completely new Atari connected device. Atari has partnered with AMD who provides the Atari VCS custom processor with Radeon Graphics Technology. The Atari VCS platform will offer support for 4K resolution, HDR and 60FPS content, onboard and expandable storage options, dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as USB 3.0 support. Today, Sega released the second episode of Sonic Mania Adventures, the new animated web short that features story elements from the Sonic Mania universe. In “Sonic Mania Adventures: Part 2 – Sonic and Tails,” Sonic is joined by old friend Miles “Tails” Prower, when an ominous tremor rocks the beach.

Electronic Arts today announced its bringing football’s biggest tournament to EA Sports FIFA 18, giving players a 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia free content update. The 2018 FIFA World Cup update will deliver a complete and official tournament experience through official FIFA World Cup elements, including authentic teams, stadiums, kits, badges, Official Match Ball and the Official Winner’s Trophy. Square Enix, Eidos-Montréal, and Crystal Dynamics today revealed the full trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the latest entry in the Tomb Raider series. Created by a team of veteran Tomb Raider developers at Eidos-Montréal, in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, the game will be available on September 14th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Today, Ubisoft announced that For Honor will be free to play from May 3 to May 6 on current-gen consoles and PC. Players will have access to the full game, including all multiplayer modes, a campaign playable solo or with a friend in online co-op, and the original roster of 12 unique heroes.
The free weekend presents a unique opportunity for both new and returning players to join the battlefield after more than a year of updates were made to For Honor. With the introduction of five seasons worth of content and the recently deployed dedicated servers, players will be able to experience the most stable and balanced version of the For Honor experience.
The For Honor team will also re-introduce the Warrior Training Program, an initiative that will reward existing and new players who work together, during the free weekend. Seasoned warriors who complete five matches while grouped with Free Weekend players (who do not own the game) will receive two weeks of revamped Champion Status, valued at 8,000 Steel, which will deliver even more XP boosts to players and their team as well as more loot following a match.
