Rockfish Games announced today that Everspace is now available for pre-order on PlayStation 4 for $29.99. PS Plus subscribers can get it for the 20% discounted price of $23.99. Everspace will be released on the PlayStation Store on May 22nd. Already available for PC, the Encounters expansion will be available via the PlayStation Store for $9.99 at launch, too.
Nicalis today announced the return of Ikaruga, the vertical shooter from Japanese game developer Treasure. Nicalis and Treasure have joined forces to introduce Ikaruga to modern players in the updated version for Nintendo Switch, releasing May 29th for $14.99.
Ikaruga on Nintendo Switch features both single-player and two-player (local) cooperative modes, as well as global leaderboards that can be accessed online for tracking high scores. Ikaruga can be played in the traditional horizontal mode on Nintendo Switch, or flipped vertically for arcade-style “TATE” mode action.
The Black Ops community gets some new goodies today. For starters, the fan-favorite Prop Hunt mode is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 starting today with Operation Swarm, a first for the game. In addition to the Prop Hunt game mode, Operation Swarm brings a revamped multiplayer map, some new weapons, new specialist themes and more.
Operation Swarm is live now and is the perfect way to count down the days until the community reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on May 17th.

Muse Games today announced that Guns of Icarus Alliance, the team-based, pirate airship combat game, is now available on PlayStation 4 for $14.99. Guns of Icarus Alliance is the first title to offer cross-platform play and voice chat between PS4 and Steam players.
Bandai Namco confirmed today that the Dark Souls: Remastered Network Test will be running May 11-12, at specific times listed below, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The network test will take place within the Undead Parish location and have players summoning co-op partners or invade others’ games.
What: Dark Souls: Remastered Network Test for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
When: May 11th and May 12th from 6:00pm PDT to 11:59pm PDT each day
How: Download the Dark Souls: Remastered Network Test client from May 1st through 11:59pm PDT on May 8th on PS4 and Xbox One (Xbox Gold subscription required to participate) to be part of the test. At 11:59pm PDT on May 8th the network test client will be removed, and no new participants will be accepted.
Dark Souls: Remastered will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on May 25th. The Nintendo Switch version, network test, and Solaire ammibo will be available later this summer.
