Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition Coming Next Month

Square Enix today announced that for the first time, its fast-paced team brawler Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition is coming to the PC via Steam and the PlayStation 4.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition offers players the opportunity to try out a limited roster of characters on a weekly basis. A variety of characters and weapons are also available for individual purchase. This ensures that favorite characters can be a permanent member of a player’s roster. Players of the free edition can also play online against existing players of the full game.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition will be available on Steam and the PlayStation 4 on March 12th.

Fortnite’s Season 8 Has Arrived

Fortnite Season 8 has arrived and a monstrous volcano has appeared.

Freed from the Ice King’s castle, the now-powerful Prisoner has brought fire and flame to Fortnite and its islands. Pirates, Ninjas and a ship load of new fighters will tussle over treasure, battle with Pirate Cannons and uncover legendary loot.

There’s a ton of new stuff for players for Season 8, including new areas and gameplay to explore in Battle Royale, new content for creators in Creative mode, and major updates to Save the World.

Left Alive – Extended Developer Walkthrough

Game director Toshifumi Nabeshima offers commentary providing more detail about the various skills and tactics players must use to achieve victory against the odds in a brand-new gameplay video for survival action shooter Left Alive. Though challenging encounters may appear impossible upon first attempt, players can uncover alternate routes, craft useful traps and weapons, and even turn enemy weaponry against them in order to save civilians trapped on the battlefield and uncover the truth behind the game’s mysteries.

Left Alive will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam on March 5th.

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Story Trailer

Get a taste of the narrative of A Plague Tale: Innocence in the new story trailer. The action-adventure game from developer Asobo Studio is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 14th.

Figure It Out Yourself – The Sinking City Investigation Trailer

Frogwares have released a new trailer for The Sinking City, the upcoming story-based, free investigation horror game set in a heavily inspired H.P Lovecraft universe. The video highlights the inner-workings of the game’s unique investigation system and how it forces players to truly think, deduct and make their own (possible the wrong) conclusions rather than just follow convenient waypoint markers.

The Sinking City is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Announced

During a Pokémon Direct presentation today, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, announced Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, the next installments in the main series of Pokémon role-playing video games. Developed by Game Freak, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will debut exclusively on the Nintendo Switch in late 2019.

PlayStation Plus Free Games for March 2019

Two brand new titles join the PlayStation Plus free game lineup on March 5th. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness will be available to download from PlayStation Store from March 5th to April 1st.

New Games with Gold for March 2019

Ubisoft Details The Division 2 Full Year of Free Post-Launch Content

Today, Ubisoft announced the details for the Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 first year of free post-launch content as well as the Year 1 Pass, which is included in the Gold Edition and Digital Ultimate Edition of the game, or available separately for $49.99. The Open Beta will be taking place this weekend from March 1-4 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The Division 2 releases on March 15th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Following The Division 2’s endgame-first philosophy, players can look forward to a full year of free post-launch content that includes Episodes, free major content updates with additional narratives and missions, new PvP and PvE modes, and new specializations. Each specialization brings a new signature weapon and skill tree to unlock and master as players take on new high-level challenges. Players can expect the following content:

• Tidal Basin, releasing shortly after launch, will reveal a new challenging stronghold held by the Black Tusks.
• Operation Dark Hours, also releasing soon after launch, will be the first 8-player raid in the history of The Division.
• Episode 1, D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions, releasing in Summer 2019, will take players to the surrounding areas of Washington to fight for the liberation of the city in two additional main missions, a new game mode to investigate the fate of a lost convoy, encountering unexpected threats along the way.
• Episode 2: Pentagon: The Last Castle, releasing in Autumn 2019, will have additional main missions, with players storming the Pentagon and unveil the secrets that hide beneath one of America’s most iconic locations.
• Episode 3, releasing in Winter 2019 will close the first chapter of The Division 2 story and pave the way for more content to come.

For players who want to get their hands on new content as soon as possible, the Year 1 Pass will grant players the following:

• 7-day early access to All Year 1 Episodes narrative content
• Instant access to all Year 1 Specializations as they release
• 8 Classified Assignments revealing more about the fall of D.C.

PUBG Adds Horizon Zero Dawn Skins to Celebrate Two Year Anniversary

PUBG Corporation and Guerilla Games are teaming up to bring skins from Horizon Zero Dawn to the PlayStation 4 version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. From March 5th to April 5th, all PlayStation 4 PUBG players can receive free Horizon Zero Dawn content just for logging in, with additional content available by completing in-game challenges or purchasing directly. • Can be claimed by playing 10 games of PUBG during the event period.
