Fallout 76: Wastelanders Available Now

Bethesda Game Studios today released Wastelanders, the latest free update for Fallout 76. The update welcomes NPCs into the fold who bring with them all new quests, classic dialogue options with choice and consequence and much more. The Wastelanders update for Fallout 76 is playable now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Bethesda Launcher and – for the first time – Steam.

Players will join forces with the devious raiders or form an alliance with the hopeful settlers in search of the secrets hiding in the mountains of West Virginia. People aren’t the only ones who’ve found their way back to the area, though – take on new creatures with new weapons and armor. Appalachia and its mysteries are waiting to be unearthed, and it’s up to players to determine their part in the race for control.

XCOM: Chimera Squad Coming to PC on April 24th

2K today announced that XCOM: Chimera Squad, an all-new standalone title in the turn-based XCOM tactical series, is currently scheduled to release digitally for PC on April 24th, with a special limited-time introductory price of $9.99. It will be available at its suggested retail price of $19.99 on May 1st.

Set five years after the events of XCOM 2, humans, hybrids and aliens are now working together to forge a civilization of cooperation and co-existence. However, not all of Earth’s inhabitants support the interspecies alliance. City 31, a model of peace in a post-invasion world, is opposed by mysterious groups whose agendas threaten to shatter this delicate interspecies alliance. Chimera Squad, an elite force of human, hybrid and alien agents, must work together to destroy the underground threats driving the city toward chaos.

Remnant: From the Ashes to Launch New DLC on April 28th

Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games today announced that Remnant: From the Ashes will launch a new premium DLC, Swamps of Corsus, for $9.99 on PC via Steam April 28th, and on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at a later date. A bundle containing the Remnant: From the Ashes base game and the new DLC will be available on Steam for $44.99 starting April 28th, and will launch on consoles later.

Swamps of Corsus will deliver an upgraded version of the primordial world of Corsus with a swarm of new content, including three powerful weapons and mods, four challenging side dungeons, new bosses and enemies and more. In addition, the DLC will unveil a new rogue-like game mode called “Survival Mode” that will have players start from nothing and fight for survival to acquire unique armor and over 50 new armor skins.

New Look Vikendi Returns in PUBG Season 7

PUBG Corporation is bringing an island back after a little time off with the return of Vikendi in PUBG Season 7. Players can experience the new looks for Dinoland and the Cosmodrome areas, plus a nonstop railroad circuit for free as part of the 7.1 update. The Survivor Pass: Cold Front premium upgrade rewards players with limited-edition weapon skins, costumes, and more goodies that hint at Vikendi’s turbulent past with the Lindh family. The next chapter in PUBG opens up April 21st on PC and April 28th on consoles with the 7.1 update.

Amazon’s Upcoming MMO New World Delayed Due to Coronavirus

Amazon Game Studios today announced their decision to delay the release of its upcoming MMO New World until August 25th and the start of Closed Beta to July.

    “Like most of you, our entire team has been sequestered as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. While we are still making great progress, developing an ambitious MMO like New World remotely has introduced some challenges. We want to make sure that we have the time needed to make New World the very best it can be for our players. As a result, we’ve chosen to delay the game’s release in order to reach our quality bar as we work remotely for the foreseeable future.”

Major Leaguers to Compete in MLB The Show 20 Tournament

Major League Baseball has announced an upcoming MLB The Show all-players tournament. The inaugural league will see Major Leaguers participate in a series of three-inning games in round-robin format, followed by a postseason playoff with the top eight finalists. Players from all 30 MLB teams will participate, including Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays. This tournament also includes a $175,000 USD commitment to Boys & Girls clubs.

Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available for the PlayStation 4. Final Fantasy VII Remake draws players into a world where the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation, controls the planet’s very life force. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to an underground resistance group calling themselves Avalanche as they fight against Shinra’s oppressive force.

Metalhead Software Reveals New Features for Super Mega Baseball 3

Metalhead Software released a video showcasing new features in Super Mega Baseball 3, including a deep dive into the new Franchise mode that contains team and player management, upgrades to the existing modes, new content and customization options, and more. In addition, Metalhead has announced an SMB2 Team Import tool, which will allow users to import their custom rosters from SMB2 to use in SMB3.

Super Mega Baseball 3 will release with cross-platform play on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.

Bethesda Softworks present the launch trailer for Wastelanders – the largest update for Fallout 76 to date – releasing entirely for free on April 14th for PC (including Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Wastelanders brings a new beginning to Appalachia for first-time and veteran players alike with a new main quest, human NPCs, new choices, companions, a reputation system and much more. Players will forge alliances with new factions in an effort to uncover the secrets of West Virginia, either in groups with friends or solo as a lone wanderer.
