Enad Global 7 today announced Minimal Affect, a comical sci-fi action RPG packed with heroics and humor developed by Toadman Studios, coming to most major consoles and PC in 2021.
Metalhead Software today announced Super Mega Baseball 3 will launch May 13th on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. In addition to the launch date reveal, Metalhead have released a new trailer that dives into the on-field experience in SMB3, covering everything from the reworked batting AI to tweaked pitching mechanics and improved fielder selection.
Grinding Gear Games will be releasing the sequel to the Action RPG, Path of Exile in 2021 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Path of Exile 2 introduces seven new acts which will share an end-game with the original and be playable alongside its campaign. Grinding Gear Games has also taken this opportunity to overhaul its game systems, art, environments, character classes and more.
Path of Exile 2 also comes with a fresh musical score created by in-house composer, Kamil Orman Janowski. Today, Ubisoft announced that a free trial is now available for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The trial allows players to play The Division 2 for free up to Level 8 and for a maximum duration of eight hours. Players who wish to purchase the game after finishing their free trial will be able to keep their progression. To install the trial version, visit Uplay, PlayStation Store, Xbox Games Store or the Epic Games Store and download “Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Trial”.
In addition, starting April 22nd, players who own Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege can earn the Ela The Division 2 Set in Rainbow Six Siege by playing The Division 2 free trial or the full game. This set includes The Division Agent uniform and headgear, Division Watch charm for the Ela Operator, and Division Weaponry weapon skin for the Scorpion EVO 3 A1. Division 2 players will receive The Impromptu weapon skin as a reward for their character.
Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake shipments and digital sales exceeded over 3.5 million worldwide in three days following its April 10th release. The game has achieved exceptional digital sales, which are continuing to increase.
A series of free updates to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game is bringing some special seasonal events, inviting island goers to experience new faces visiting the island, blossoming flora, beautiful works of art and an expanded museum.
Available starting on April 23, this new update adds the following characters, features and limited-time events to the game:
On April 22, the free final update to Super Mario Maker 2 for the Nintendo Switch adds a new World Maker mode, as well as a host of new content and features.
In World Maker mode, multiple courses created by a user can be tied together on a path from the starting point on a world map to the end castle. The look of the world map can also be customized. Up to eight worlds containing a total of up to 40 courses can be combined, creating a mini Super Mario game that can be shared with others.
In addition to World Maker, the Koopalings will be making an appearance in Super Mario Maker 2. All seven of these troublemakers, each with his or her own movement pattern, can be added to user-created courses. Other enemies added to the game include the key-chasing Phanto and the wind-up Mechakoopas.
Additional power-ups and course parts are also coming to Super Mario Maker 2 as part of the free update. This includes the SMB2 Mushroom, which transforms Mario and friends into their look from the Super Mario Bros. 2 game and allows them to pick up and throw items and enemies – just like in that classic game. With the Frog Suit from the Super Mario Bros. 3 game, Mario can swim through water with ease, and even run across its surface. Other power-ups added to the game are the Power Balloon first introduced in the Super Mario World game, the Super Acorn from the New Super Mario Bros. U game and the Boomerang Flower from Super Mario 3D World. There are also five variations for wearables like the Cannon Box and Propeller Box from the Super Mario 3D World game.
CD Projekt Red today announced a limited-edition, Cyberpunk 2077-inspired Xbox One X console will be available in June. Created in collaboration with Microsoft, the limited-edition 1TB console encapsulates the urban decay and vibrant tech of Night City. Its design features glow-in-the-dark elements, custom decorative panels, LEDs, color-shift effects, and textures – all evoking numerous facets of Cyberpunk 2077’s dark future setting. The console comes with an Xbox wireless controller inspired by the character of Johnny Silverhand, featuring a half natural, half cyber-enhancement chrome design. Available as part of the bundle, the controller can also be purchased separately right now at select retailers, including the Microsoft Store.
Bundled alongside the console and controller will be an Xbox One digital download code for Cyberpunk 2077 and other surprises that will be announced soon. Cyberpunk 2077 will release September 17th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the version for Google Stadia set to launch the same year.
The classic first-person shooter is back with remastered graphics and optimizations for a new generation of hardware co-developed on CryEngine with Saber Interactive. Starting this summer, Crysis Remastered will be available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
Crysis Remastered will focus on the original game’s single-player campaigns and is slated to contain high-quality textures and improved art assets, an HD texture pack, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, and parallax occlusion mapping; particle effects will also be added where applicable. Further additions such as volumetric fog and shafts of light, software-based ray tracing, and screen space reflections provide the game with a major visual upgrade.
Publisher and co-developer Dotemu with co-developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games announced today that Streets of Rage 4, the long-awaited return of Sega’s beat-em-up series, will hit PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One as well as Xbox Game Pass on April 30th for $24.99. The news arrived alongside a trailer revealing the first look at Streets of Rage 4’s Battle Mode, a legacy experience returning from Streets of Rage 2 and 3.
