Annapurna Announces New Games Stray and Solar Ash Will Come to PlayStation 5

During PlayStation’s The Future of Gaming livestream, Annapurna Interactive revealed three games that will be released as PlayStation 5 console exclusives. The publisher announced Stray as the latest addition to the Annapurna Interactive roster with a reveal trailer, while showing a new trailer for Solar Ash and sharing new footage of the upcoming The Pathless.

Created by French studio BlueTwelve, Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Set to launch in 2021, players will play as a stray cat, roaming surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures.

Launching in 2021, Solar Ash brings the style of Heart Machine, creators of Hyper Light Drifter, to a fully 3D world. In Solar Ash, players explore the Ultravoid, an unstoppable rift of despair ripping through space, with fast, fluid traversal, massive encounters and heartbreaking stories.

Borderlands 3 – Takedown at the Guardian Breach is Now Live

Takedown at the Guardian Breach – a new endgame gauntlet designed to put your skills and gear to the ultimate test – is now available as a free addition to Borderlands 3. The game’s latest free content update provides a demanding, high-level challenge for all players. Plus, a new patch modifies Mayhem Mode 2.0, Borderlands 3’s end-game leveling system.

This new Takedown is an extreme challenge that scales to the number of players in your party but is intended to push a full party of four leveled-up Vault Hunters to the limit. Together you’ll undertake a reconnaissance mission to the planet of Minos Prime to locate the source of a mysterious Guardian signal. Upon arrival, you’ll be besieged by a sect of rogue Guardians who have irrevocably transformed Minos Prime.

Along with new enemies, low-gravity platforming sections, and environmental puzzles, you’ll have to overcome both a miniboss and a final boss encounter. Should you survive, you’ll be rewarded with a host of new items, including themed weapons, gear, and collectible cosmetics.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope Release Date Moves to Fall 2020

Bandai Namco announced today that the release date for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam has been moved to Fall 2020. In a letter from Supermassive’s CEO and Executive Producer on The Dark Pictures Anthology, Pete Samuels writes:

    Hi everyone,

I’m Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive and Executive Producer on The Dark Pictures Anthology. I hope that you are all safe and well. Our industry, and the entire world, have been faced with an unprecedented situation over the last few months. Since the COVID-19 crisis hit in March, Supermassive Games has had our 200 strong team working from home. Our priority, throughout has been the safety of our team.

We have now been working successfully at home for some time, with the entire team committed to delivering the best possible games. With that in mind it rests with me to make the unfortunate announcement that Little Hope will be delayed past the Summer release already announced, now targeting Fall 2020.

Our priority has been to keep people safe, and that includes actors and stage crews on whose talents we depend so heavily, other workforces external to our business who all help to create the games we make, and all the talented people that work within our studio. We will continue to follow government and industry body advice and will only embark on any element of development when such advice tells that it is safe to do so.

    Stay safe,
    Pete
