Neon Abyss is Now Available

Team17 and Veewo Games today launched Neon Abyss on consoles and PC. In the world of Neon Abyss players face off against the New Gods, monstrous bosses formed from modern day venerations and obsessions, including mobile video, plushies, and fast food. As they fight their way through the descending and dynamically generated levels of the Neon Abyss, arming themselves with some of the 400 plus items, players will lay waste to hundreds of twisted enemies, encounter rooms of mini games, and hatch and evolve pets that help them on the journey into the depths below.

Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass: Ethiopia Pack Available on July 23rd

Today, 2K announced the second DLC pack in the Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass – Ethiopia Pack – will be launching on July 23rd. It will be available to anyone who owns the Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass or available for individual purchase for $4.99.

Included in the Ethiopia Pack is a new leader and civilization – Ethiopia – as well as a new District and additional buildings. Also, the DLC will include a new optional game mode called Secret Societies. This game mode adds four powerful and mysterious Secret Societies to the world, where discovering a Society unlocks a unique Governor with powerful bonuses which players do not need to assign to a city. Once you become a member of a Society, you commit to membership for the rest of the game. Alliances with players who are members of the same Society generate Alliance Points more quickly, and those players will have an improved opinion of you in diplomacy. Players who are members of a different Society, however, will dislike you once they are aware of your affiliation.

Ubisoft Announces Far Cry 6

Today during Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 is currently in development and will release February 18th, 2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia and the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on PC, as well as on UPlay+.

With performances from actor and Emmy Award Nominee Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul, The Boys, The Mandalorian) joined by Anthony Gonzalez (Coco), a score created by film and television composer Pedro Bromfman (Narcos), and an opening sequence directed by Emmy Award winner Patrick Clair (Westworld, True Detective), Far Cry 6 brings in Hollywood-calibre talent to bolster the narrative experience.

Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, Far Cry 6 plunges players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time. President Antón Castillo (Esposito) vows to restore his country to its former glory while grooming his son Diego (Gonzalez) to follow in his footsteps. Yet paradise has a price, and enriching his country means subjugating those who don’t adhere to his vision. In this island nation in turmoil, players will experience the adrenaline and chaos of guerrilla combat as they are swept up in a revolutionary movement to take down a tyrant.

Players will be able to play as either male or female Dani Rojas, a local Yaran swept up in a revolution against Antón Castillo. As Dani, players will become a guerrilla fighter and explore and unite an entire island nation, from lush jungles to Yara’s capital city Esperanza. To succeed against the overwhelming power of Antón’s regime, players will need to be resourceful as they employ an arsenal of new weapons, vehicles and Fangs For Hire like Chorizo, the cutest wiener dog on wheels.

Ubisoft also announced that Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s Editions for Far Cry 6 will be available for pre-order:

  • The Gold Edition will include the base game and the Season Pass.
  • The Ultimate Edition will include the base game, the Season Pass, and the Ultimate pack, which includes Jungle Expedition pack, the Croc Hunter pack, and the Vice pack.
  • The Collector’s Edition will include the base game, Season Pass, the Ultimate pack, a display model of “Tostador”, the flamethrower from the game, a “How to Assemble” one-pager artwork illustrated by artist Tobatron, a Collector’s Case based on Tobatron’s art style, an exclusive Steelbook, a 64-page Artbook, a set of 10 stickers, a Chorizo keyring, a map and a selected Soundtrack of the Game.

Fans who pre-order Far Cry 6 will get access to the Libertad Pack which includes the “Libertad Outfit” for Chorizo and the “Discos Locos”, a weaponized disc launcher that will make enemies dance on their own graves. Fans who purchase Far Cry 6 on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade their version on a next-gen platform at no additional cost after the launch of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to Launch November 17th

Today, during the Ubisoft Forward digital conference, Ubisoft announced that the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will release November 17th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on PC, as well as on UPlay+ and Stadia. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also release on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 upon the launch of the consoles. Players who purchase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5) at no additional cost.

Brand-new gameplay shown at the digital conference illustrates new features that players can enjoy, including dual-wielding, raiding, assaults and open world activities. Raids will be more action-packed and brutal than anything Assassin’s Creed has seen before, with players able to take advantage of a new combat system that lets players bash, dismember and decapitate foes. Eivor will be able to dual-wield axes, swords and even shields against the greatest variety of enemy types ever seen in an Assassin’s Creed. Additionally, the return of the Hidden Blade allows Eivor to assassinate targets with deadly precision.

Ubisoft Announces Watch Dogs: Legion to Launch on October 29th

Today at Ubisoft’s first digital press conference, Ubisoft Forward, the company announced that Watch Dogs: Legion will launch on October 29th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia and for PC on Epic Games and Uplay. The game will also be available on Uplay+. Watch Dogs: Legion will also release on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 upon the launch of the consoles.

Watch Dogs: Legion introduces “Play as Anyone,” a never-before-seen gameplay innovation created by Ubisoft Toronto, the studio behind Watch Dogs: Legion. Play as Anyone gives players the entire city of London to choose their roster of resistance members from. Every single person in the open world can be recruited and played, is unique and has a backstory, personality and skillset. Watch Dogs: Legion will also support hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing on Xbox Series X and full ray-tracing support on Nvidia RTX-equipped PC devices. Players who purchase Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5) at no additional cost.

In addition, Ubisoft announced the Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s Editions for Watch Dogs: Legion:

  • Gold Edition includes the base game and the Season Pass, including new story expansions, extra DedSec missions, four unique heroes, the Complete Edition of the original Watch Dogs game from 2014 and more.
  • Ultimate Edition includes Gold Edition and Ultimate digital content, including three new playable heroes, four weeks’ VIP Status to earn currency faster and new masks.
  • Collector’s Edition includes the Ultimate Edition plus the LED Ded Coronet Mask Replica, an exclusive SteelBook, a set of three stickers and a recto-verso propaganda poster, all inspired by the game’s universe, and instant access to the mask in-game. Collector’s Edition is exclusive to the Ubisoft Store.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint to Add AI Teammates in Title Update Dropping July 15th

Today, during Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will release Title Update 2.1.0 on July 15th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, as well as on Uplay+ and Stadia. The update will be free for all players, providing the opportunity to play with AI teammates, and features a limited-time event and more.

The addition of AI teammates to Ghost Recon Breakpoint will offer new possibilities for solo players, who will be able to activate or deactivate them via the menu at any time, depending on whether they prefer to be backed up by their squad or play as a lone-wolf operator. Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s AI Teammates will retain gameplay features and abilities present with teammates in Ghost Recon Wildlands, including the ability to execute given orders, the sync shot and the possibility to get revived. Additionally, it will now be possible to fully customize their physical attributes and gear. Players will also be able to pick their AI teammates’ main weapon, affecting the way they engage enemies in the world.

Starting July 16th, all players will be able to take part in the new live event: Resistance. Nomad will support the Outcasts during their counterattack on Sentinel forces and assist them in their efforts to save prisoners, attack Sentinel outposts and stop convoys looking for survivors. By completing the live event’s missions, players will have a direct impact on the presence of rebels throughout Auroa. This will create an opportunity for the Outcasts to initiate faction warfare between them and Sentinel forces, or with the Wolves. Players will unlock 14 exclusive rewards upon completing missions during the live event July 16–29th. All main missions will still be available for all players after the end of the event.

The update will also introduce new Ghost War PvP content including the observer mode and item drop functionality, as well as a wealth of improvements based on community requests, including enhancements to the Gunsmith.

Ubisoft Announces Hyper Scape Open Beta Available Now

Today at Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft announced a Hyper Scape Open Beta for all PC players available immediately. Hyper Scape is a free-to-play fast-paced urban battle royale first-person shooter. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Hyper Scape takes place in the distant future of 2054, where up to 100 Contenders descend upon the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to engage in matches to be crowned champion.

During this Open Beta, Hyper Scape will introduce Crown Rush Solo, a 100-player free-for-all version of its main Battle Royale mode, on top of the previously available 3-player squad mode Crown Rush Squad, The Open Beta will also feature two new limited time modes: Hack Runner Squad and Turbo Mode Squad. Additionally, the Open Beta includes one new hack and weapon, Shockwave and Harpy respectively. These additions build on the previously available nine weapons and nine hacks from the Technical Test.

Hyper Scape’s Open Beta will also introduce all new features to the Crowncast Twitch extension, including Battle Pass progression by watching Hyper Scape live streams on Twitch and the ability for streamers to invite viewers directly into their squad from Twitch chat. These additions are on top of the previously available Viewer Events, which allow all Twitch viewers the opportunity to have a real-time impact on the battle by voting on events that affect all contenders within a match, such as Low Gravity, or Infinite Ammo. The Open Beta introduces a new Event called Haste that increases the game’s speed for all contenders.

The Hyper Scape Open Beta will include a free 30 tier battle pass alongside an in-game shop offering additional customization options. All Open Beta progress and items will carry over through future live phases and into the full launch, across PC and console. Hyper Scape will launch its Season One for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this summer.
