Atlus today unveiled plans to localize and publish Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, the latest entry in the long-running RPG franchise, in early 2013.
Epic Games announced that Cliff Bleszinski, Design Director of Epic Games, has left the company. Bleszinski has worked on such titles as Jazz Jackrabbit and the Gears of War franchise.
On October 5th, gamers can finally represent their nation on the battlefield through the Medal of Honor Warfighter open beta coming exclusively to the Xbox 360. The beta will feature a brand new multiplayer mode called Hotspot, where players attack and defend randomly-selected locations on the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia. Gamers can choose from among 12 Tier 1 units including the British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group, Korean UDT and U.S. Navy SEAL as they represent their elite Special Forces online. Gamers can also select from over 193 nations through the built-in metagame, Warfighter Nations, to see who really is top dog.
Bethesda Softworks today announced it has established a new studio in Austin, Texas, Battlecry Studios, to be headed by industry veteran Rich Vogel. Most recently, Vogel worked at Bioware where he served as the executive producer on the development of Star Wars: The Old Republic. The new studio is currently hiring other experienced game developers to fill key roles for an unannounced project.
Microsoft and 343 Industries, in conjunction with soundtrack partner 7Hz Productions, are recognizing the passion of their fans with the Halo 4 Soundtrack Remix Contest.
Musicians and Halo gamers alike will have the ability to put their own spin on the Halo 4 Soundtrack working with exclusive original stems from composer/producer Neil Davidge, competing for a shot at global recognition.
The competition starts October 3rd and will run through October 29th, with prizes awarded to the most original and creative tracks. Fans will have access to samples of Awakening, To Galaxy, and Nemesis from the Halo 4 Soundtrack, allowing for a wide range of potential remix styles and musical genres. Electronic Arts today announced the record-smashing start of FIFA Soccer 13, selling over 4.5 million games across all platforms worldwide in just five days. It is the biggest videogame launch of 2012 and biggest sports videogame launch of all-time. FIFA 13 was the No. 1 selling game in at least 40 countries around the world.
Fans are also playing FIFA Soccer 13 in record numbers. September 30th was the busiest day for online gaming for a single title in EA history. 800,000 fans played FIFA Soccer 13 simultaneously. More than 66 million online game sessions have already been played on FIFA Soccer 13, representing 600 million minutes of online play.
Ubisoft today announced the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass offer, granting access to all five forthcoming DLC packs to players owning the original game on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content will feature “The Tyranny of King Washington”, an all-new single-player campaign available as a continual episodic story through three DLCs that will let players experience an alternate history of the American Revolution. It’s 1783. As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. In addition to this all-new single player experience, the Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content will feature new maps and characters for an even more expansive multiplayer experience as well as other single-player missions.
The Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass provides gamers with all five forthcoming DLCs, scheduled for release within six months after the game launch, for a discounted price of $29.99. The Season Pass is now available for purchase on PlayStation 3 in the PlayStation Store, and will be available from October 30th on Xbox 360 and from November 22nd for PC.
All Assassin’s Creed III DLCs will also be available for the Wii U.
Coming this fall, the Hostage Negotiation Map Pack DLC for Max Payne 3 introduces four new multiplayer maps – all taken from the single player game and fully optimized for online combat – along with a range of new Items and weapons (including the M24 Sniper Rifle and IA2 Assault Rifle) plus the Filhos De Ogum avatar faction.

Ubisoft has released a new ZombiU video, the second episode in a video series that focuses on different aspects of the ZombiU universe. In this installment, story design director Gabrielle Shrager and co-writer Antony Johnston go into detail about the story and setting behind the game. ZombiU will be available when the Wii U launches on November 18th.
Kalypso Media Digital has released the Dollar Dash “Weapons” trailer. Highlighting weapons such as cacti, vacuums, and fire extinguishers, the video demonstrates how weapons can be used to overcome the odds such as throwing nukes at the opposition. Dollar Dash will be available later this year on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC.
