343 Industries has unveiled a behind the scenes look at the upcoming Halo 4 Infinity Multiplayer, giving fans a sneak peek into new elements, improvements, and game types. The 13 minute video also includes highlights of Forge, Ragnarok, new vehicles, and Spartan Ops. The video is available now on Halo Waypoint.
1C Company today announced King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North, the next chapter in the RPG/adventure series, will be available for PC on October 26th. The game will come in two editions, the standard edition, for $29.99, and the special Valhalla Edition for $32.99, which includes an in-game Valhalla Armor Set, digital artwork and wallpapers. The King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North pre-order is now available at Steam, Amazon, GameStop, GamersGate and many others. Each shop offers additional bonuses for pre-orders.
Aaron Paul has been cast to play the lead in DreamWorks Studios action film “Need for Speed,” it was announced today. Scott Waugh (“Act of Valor”) is attached to direct, and the project has a target production start date for early next year and a theatrical release on February 7th, 2014.
Aaron Paul is a two-time Emmy winner for his performance on the television series “Breaking Bad.” Paul’s other credits include “Smashed,” “The Last House on the Left,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and HBO’s “Big Love.”
2K Games and Gearbox Software have released the Mechromancer trailer for Borderlands 2. Gaige the Mechromancer was released on October 9th and is the fifth playable character class in the game. Narrated by Sir Hammerlock, the trailer details Gaige’s abilities including her action skill, Deathtrap, a flying robot who, among other things, can use a laser beam to light enemies on fire. Gaige is a free download for those who pre-ordered and received Premiere Club access. She can also be purchased for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points) on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Activision announced today that all of its Call of Duty Elite service features for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be free when the game releases on November 13th. Both new and veteran Call of Duty Elite members alike will be able to enjoy the full range of Call of Duty Elite’s service and features.
Supporting Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Activision will be selling four new DLC Map Packs both á la carte and through the introduction of the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Season Pass. Coming to Xbox Live first, the four Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Map Packs will deliver a variety of new Multiplayer and Zombies playable content and are expected to be available in 2013. The Season Pass will deliver all four Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Map Packs at a discounted price of 4000 Microsoft Points ($49.99). Season Pass pre-orders are now available at select retail outlets, including GameStop. Further details regarding the 2013 calendar of Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Map Packs will be made available at a later date.
Konami today announced the availability of the first free update for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013. In addition, Konami has released information and features about the second DLC for the soccer game.
As with previous iterations of the series, Konami is committed to adding content to PES 2013, and the first free update ramps up the online side of the game. Available today for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the update adds a widget system that acts as a shortcut to gathering friends together for online matches. PES 2013 allows up to eight people to play in a match simultaneously, and the new download adds Community modes, wherein friends can be automatically selected from a pre-determined list and allows communities to track and monitor their results. Users can now concede a match at half-time as well.

At last weekend’s New York Comic Con, Activison revealed that The Amazing Spider-Man will be coming to Wii U. The game will leverage the Wii U’s unique capabilities and include all four DLC packs. It’s currently slated for a Spring 2013 release.
Nintendo is dropping the Wii console to a suggested retail price of $129.99 in advance of the holiday shopping season. The new configuration is beginning to arrive in stores now, and will be available by October 28th. This configuration includes a black Wii console and both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort on a single game disc, as well as a Wii Remote Plus and a Nunchuk controller – both black to match the console. This configuration replaces the current black Wii that comes with New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
