Bethesda Softworks today announced that DOOM 3 BFG Edition is now available in stores nationwide for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. DOOM 3 BFG Edition features enhanced, re-mastered versions of both DOOM 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack, as well as hours of new content, including eight new levels entitled ‘The Lost Mission.’
Activision today announced that 007 Legends is now available in stores nationwide for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. 007 Legends delivers a first-of-its-kind James Bond video game experience featuring a story inspired by five classic Bond films – Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, Die Another Day. Additionally, 007 Legends will feature a sixth mission based on this year’s Bond film – Skyfall – which will be available to unlock as downloadable content. Timed to the release of the film, PlayStation Network subscribers will gain exclusive early access to the Skylfall mission on November 9th, and then on November 20th the mission will be available on Xbox Live.
2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that the first add-on content campaign for Borderlands 2, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, is now available for download on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC. In Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, up to four players cooperatively enter the hostile sand dunes and wastelands of Pirate Bay in search of ancient treasures. The add-on content campaign features new characters, including the eccentric and eager Shade; locations such as the town of Oasis; enemies including the Sand Pirates and Anchormen; and special weapons and loot. Captain Scarlett and the Pirate’s Booty is the first of four add-on content campaigns for Borderlands 2.
To celebrate the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary, Square Enix is looking to crown the first-ever global Final Fantasy Super fan. The crowned Super fan will be accredited in the closing credits for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, and receive two tickets to the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert on January 12th, 2013 in Paris, France. Participants are encouraged to submit their original 30-60 second video to the official contest website, where detailed information is available.
