Assassin’s Creed III The Hidden Secrets DLC Live

Ubisoft today announced the first downloadable content pack Assassin’s Creed III, The Hidden Secrets, is now available for Season Pass holders for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The Hidden Secrets Pack will be available for everyone else on December 11th via Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC. The Hidden Secrets Pack will release for the Wii U at a later date.

The Hidden Secrets Pack for Assassin’s Creed III adds three extra missions – the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War, and a Dangerous Secret – for an additional hour of gameplay, taking gamers from lost Mayan ruins to the high seas. Every successful mission is rewarded with in-game weapons. Gamers will also receive:

  • Two single-player costumes including the fabled Captain of the Aquila uniform and the traditional Colonial Assassin outfit
  • Two multiplayer characters including the fearsome Redcoat and the deadly Sharpshooter

The Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass grants access to all five upcoming DLC packs including The Hidden Secrets to gamers owning the original game. The Season Pass provides more than 25% savings versus purchasing the DLC separately. Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass is now available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network.

Mass Effect Trilogy Ships for PS3

BioWare today announced that Mass Effect Trilogy, a compilation of all three Mass Effect games, is now available in stores nationwide for the PlayStation 3. Also today, the original Mass Effect is available directly via the PlayStation Network for $14.99, including the single-player DLC “Bring Down the Sky”.

Dragonborn Add-on for Skyrim Hits Xbox Live

Bethesda Softworks today announced that Dragonborn, the next official add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is now available for download on Xbox Live for 1600 Microsoft Points.

With Dragonborn, journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim. Encounter new towns, dungeons, and quests, as you traverse the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land. Become more powerful with shouts that bend the will of your enemies and even tame dragons. Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary – the first Dragonborn.

Max Payne 3 Painful Memories Pack Released

Painful Memories Pack, the latest DLC for Max Payne 3, is now available for download on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC for $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points). Players who purchased the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass can download the pack free of charge.

The Painful Memories Pack includes four new maps for Max Payne 3 multiplayer, from the Roscoe Street Subway of Max’s past to the dingy Hoboken watering hole, Marty’s Bar. The pack also includes the IMG 5.56 and UAR-21 assault rifles, new avatars, items, and the Hangover Burst, which temporarily causes enemies to respawn with blurred vision and reduced stamina and health.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Slingshot Pack Released

2K Games and Firaxis Games announced today that the Slingshot Content Pack add-on for XCOM: Enemy Unknown is now available for purchase on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and PC for $6.99 (560 Microsoft Points).

A new trailer for the Slingshot Content Pack introduces Zhang, the new Triad operative who can be recruited to the XCOM cause, as well as the new Council missions, which will require players to rescue Zhang, divert the course of an alien battleship, and then do battle with the aliens in the skies over China. In addition to the maps and missions, this add-on content also includes new cosmetic customization options for your squad.

Guardians of Middle-earth Released

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced the launch of Guardians of Middle-earth, a new multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Monolith Productions, available today on PlayStation Network and tomorrow, December 5th for Xbox Live Arcade.

With more than 20 playable Guardian characters available, Guardians of Middle-earth is $14.99 on PlayStation Network, and 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Arcade. A separate Season Pass can be purchased for $14.99 more, or 1200 Microsoft Points, and provides discounted access to additional game content to be released in the future, including Guardian characters and a new gameplay mode. The game and the Season Pass are available for bundled purchase in select retail stores for $29.99.

Sony Computer Entertainment has released another episode of its Behind the Scenes series, Unchained, for God of War: Ascension, entitled “The Desert of Lost Souls Part 2″. God of War: Ascension will be available on March 12th exclusively for PlayStation 3.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Coming to Vita

Ratloop Asia today announced that its cinematic platform adventure game, Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken, the second installment in the Rocketbirds franchise, is coming to PlayStation Vita early in 2013.

Rocketbirds on the PS Vita will boast a variety of new features including new chapters, puzzles and humor. Based on player feedback, the new version will feature a new Hardboiled difficulty setting, improvements to the controls to utilize the PS Vita’s features and improved connectivity for the Cooperation Campaign.

Pid Easy Mode Released for PC

Might and Delight introduced an easier way to play through its platfomer Pid with the all-new Easy Mode (only for PC). Complementing the game’s Normal and Hard modes, Easy Mode paves the way with redesigned levels, much shorter boss fights, and less-crowded environments to aid in navigation.

In addition to the new Easy Mode, tweaks and adjustments to Normal Mode have evened out the play experience and lessened challenging difficulty spikes.
