Zen Studios today announced that their arcade style pinball game Zen Pinball 2 will be available for download on the Nintendo eShop on Wii U later this month. Zen Pinball 2 will be a free platform download for all users, including free trials for each table and a library of pinball tables for purchase, including the Super Hero themed Marvel Pinball series, and the zombie themed Plants vs. Zombies table.
Electronic Arts and Crytek today announced a partnership with filmmaker Albert Hughes to produce an online video series inspired by the upcoming sandbox shooter, Crysis 3. Entitled, “The 7 Wonders of Crysis 3”, this cinematic series will set the stage for this latest installment in the Crysis series and introduce weapons, enemies, and gameplay features new to the franchise. These cinematic shorts will also showcase the visuals, environments of the urban rainforest and adaptive warfare fans can expect when Crysis 3 ships on February 19th
Electronic Arts today announced Need for Speed Most Wanted Ultimate Speed Pack, the game’s first DLC, will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 MS Points, PlayStation Network for $9.99 and Origin for $9.99 starting December 18th.
Included in the Ultimate Speed Pack is the Pagani Zonda R, McLaren F1LM, Lamborghini Aventador J and Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops II has crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide retail sales, according to Chart-Track retail customer sell-through information and internal company estimates. The game achieved this milestone in just 15 days. Last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reached $1 billion in retail sales in 16 days.
Capcom today confirmed that the initial wave of game add-on content for Resident Evil 6 will be available on December 18th exclusively first on the Xbox 360. Consisting of Predator, Survivors and Onslaught modes, each mode is priced at 320 Microsoft Points and expands on the game’s multiplayer elements. Players can purchase all three modes together as a bundle pack for 720 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Ubisoft today announced that Far Cry 3, the open world first-person shooter from Ubisoft Montreal and Massive, is now available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. All editions of Far Cry 3 are now available for purchase on the Uplay Shop, at retail outlets nationwide, and is also available digitally on the PlayStation Network.
In January, the Far Cry 3: High Tides downloadable co-op pack will be made available for free on the PlayStation 3. This exclusive DLC will contain two new story chapters with four to five missions each and four character skins.
Sony Computer Entertainemnt today announced three new Sound Packs and a Curved Terrain Pack for Sound Shapes on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
The three new downloadable Sound Packs will be available in early 2013 for $0.99 each and the Curved Terrain Pack will be free, both in the PlayStation Store as well as in the new in-game Sound Shapes Music Shop, which launches today.
