Microsoft and Epic Games have released a new Gears of War: Judgment video entitled “The Guts of Gears,” giving fans an in-depth preview of the campaign. Narrated by the game’s hero, Lt. Baird, the video offers a sneak peek at the new campaign features, including the dynamic Smart Spawn System, new weapons, dynamic defense scenarios, Declassified Missions, new player rewards, and more.
Additionally, Microsoft and Epic Games also announced that initial launch quantities of Gears of War: Judgment will include a Games on Demand Xbox Live download token for the game that started it all, Gears of War. Gears of War: Judgment will be available on March 19th.
Atlus today announced a demo of the upcoming RPG, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, will be available for download on the Nintendo eShop beginning February 7th.
The demo will allow players to experience the opening gameplay areas available in the full title, including the introduction, initial mini-dungeon (Old Forest Mine), first skyship area (Windy Plains), and areas of the first main dungeon (Lush Woodlands). Players will have open access to engage in a variety of sidequests in the main dungeon, along with the complete set of equipment, skills, and classes available in this portion of the full title. Various facilities in town are also available in the demo, including Guild Card exchanges via QR code and select QR gifts. All progress gained within the demo is transferrable to the full retail version of the game.
Etrian Odyssey IV will be available at retail and on Nintendo eShop for digital download on February 26th
Paradox Interactive and Critical Studio have released a new video diary for Dungeonland, detailing players’ cutomization options. Dungeonland will be available for PC on January 29th.
2K Games today announced that three different themes – Dominion, Madness, and Supremacy – are available today for all five of the playable characters in Borderlands 2. Each theme is comprised of five individual sets of matching heads and skins for a total of 15 new customization options. The 15 sets are available separately for $0.99 each (80 Microsoft Points).
Sony Computer Entertainment Canada announced today that the Canadian edition of MLB 13 The Show will feature Toronto Blue Jays All-Star right fielder Jose Bautista as the cover athlete.
For the first time ever, fans will vote for one of three cover designs featuring Bautista via a Cover Vote starting tomorrow, January 22nd, on Facebook.
This is the second year that MLB The Show has had a separate cover athlete for the Canadian edition.

Namco Bandai today announced that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 for PlayStation 3 will be coming in summer 2013.
Players will be able to set off on adventures with characters such as Luffy, Sanji, Zoro and the rest of the Straw Hat crew to explore and conquer island after island while traveling through the New World. With playable characters from the original title along with never before seen characters joining the battle, fans can enjoy seeing line-ups of their favorite One Piece characters springing to action, including Eneru for the first time ever on PlayStation 3.
Namco Bandai today announced Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 bonuses at various retailers, including exclusive pre-order offers through GameStop and Namco Bandai’s online store, ClubNamco.com.
First-run copies of Narotu Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 across all retailers will feature a code to download an exclusive Dragon Ball Z Goku costume for Naruto and collectible trading card. The special costume will allow Naruto to wear Goku’s signature orange gi in-game, marking the first time the two anime franchises have crossed over in North America.
Players who pre-order the game at a GameStop store can pick up a GameStop exclusive poster and will receive the Goku costume DLC and collectible trading card when they purchase the game. Namco Bandai today announced that Project X Zone (working title) will be coming in the summer of 2013 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. This crossover strategy-RPG title brings together the characters from some of Namco Bandai, Sega, and Capcom’s franchises.
Developed by Banpresto and Monolith Soft, Project X Zone features over 50 characters from 29 game franchises by three of Japan’s most prolific video game companies. In Project X Zone players will use a team of two characters known as a Pair Unit to explore the world within the game. An additional character known as a Solo Unit can be combined with the Pair Unit to assist in battles with Solo Attacks as well as augment the attacks available for players to execute. Players will have to master an array of moves including Solo Attacks, Support Attacks, Cross Hits, and Finishing Moves in order to defeat a multitude of foes.
Project X Zone takes place in a world surrounded by a hidden chaos with shadows and evil lurking beneath the peaceful cover of everyday life. When a rift in time and space suddenly appears, a doorway to various universes is opened allowing both heroes and villains from different worlds to cross paths. Players will be able to take control of a selection of paired heroes including favorites such as Jin and Xiaoyu (Tekken), Toma and Cyrille (Shining Forc EXA), to X and Zero (Mega Man X) and discover the cause of the rift and stop evil from coming through and spreading into their world.
Paradox Interactive today announced that its upcoming hack ‘n’ slash title, Dungeonland, will have its launch postponed by one week. Originally slated for release on January 22, the co-op game will be available on leading distribution channels come January 29.
