2K Sports today announced details for the MLB 2K13 Perfect Game Challenge via the first in a series of digital films starring cover athlete & Cy Young winner David Price, along with several MLB All-Stars.
The MLB 2K13 Perfect Game Challenge will crown more winners than ever before. Beginning on April 1st, MLB Opening Day, gamers can compete to win a total of $750,000 across 30 MLB Team Leaderboard prize pools. In 2012, the combined sales of Skylanders Giants and Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure toys out-sold the top action figure lines in the U.S. and Europe, including Beyblades, Star Wars and Transformers. Additionally, through January 2013, more than 100 million Skylanders toys have been sold at retail.
Nintendo will release a new Wii U bundle in the U.S. and Canada. The Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set comes with all the contents of the standard Wii U Deluxe Set, plus the addition of the ZombiU game, a black Wii U Pro Controller and a collectible booklet featuring artwork from the game and never-before-seen developer commentary. Customers who pre-order or purchase Aliens: Colonial Marines, launching on February 12th, at Walmart will receive the game’s upcoming first pack of downloadable content – “Bug Hunt” – for free.
Sega, Gearbox Software and Twentieth Century Fox announced today a Season Pass promotional program for Aliens: Colonial Marines, scheduled to launch on February 12th.
Customers who purchase the Season Pass at participating retailers online or in store will receive all four upcoming pieces of downloadable content, which will feature new campaign as well as multiplayer content, for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and Steam for $29.99 (2400 Microsoft Points). The Season Pass will give gamers access to all four upcoming packs of DLC, as they become available, at almost 40% savings over the individual purchase of the content. Sega, Gearbox Software and Twentieth Century Fox are set to announce further details on the content and release dates of the downloadable content soon.
Additionally, the companies announced the game’s first post-launch downloadable content. Scheduled for release in March, Aliens: Colonial Marines’ first additional content pack, “Bug Hunt” will throw players into an all-new multiplayer mode where they have to take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies in three new maps based on environments from the Aliens film.
Atlus today announced that a demo for the upcoming RPG, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, is now available for download on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS.
The demo provides the opening gameplay areas available in the full title, including the introduction, initial mini-dungeon (Old Forest Mine), first skyship area (Windy Plains), and areas of the first main dungeon (Lush Woodlands). Players will have open access to engage in a variety of sidequests in the main dungeon, along with the complete set of equipment, skills, and classes available in this portion of the full title. Various facilities in town are also available in the demo, including Guild Card exchanges via QR code and select QR gifts. All progress gained within the demo is transferrable to the full retail version of the game.
