Today, Ubisoft announced that Season 2 of Hyper Scape will release on October 6th. This Season, called “The Aftermath,” will introduce a new weapon, a new hack, new game modes, a new Battle Pass, and much more to discover. Prior to Season 2, players will get the chance to participate in Project Tower, a special event coming to Hyper Scape on October 4th from 8am to 9am EST. Since the beginning of Season One, glitches have been found in the streets of Neo-Arcadia, hinting at something out of control in the Hyper Scape. It’s now time for Prisma Dimensions to confront this threat head on.
The Pathless, the mythic adventure of an archer and an eagle in a vast forest developed by Giant Squid and published by Annapurna Interactive, will launch on November 12th on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
EA and Respawn Entertainment today announced that Apex Legends’ cross-play feature goes into beta next week. On October 6th, PlayStation, Xbox and Origin players will have the option to join cross-play or continue on platform-exclusive servers.
To celebrate the addition of cross-play, Apex Legends’ upcoming in-game event – The Aftermarket Collection Event will kick off on the same day, October 6th and run through October 20th. The Aftermarket Collection Event will be stocked with an all-new Flashpoint LTM where players’ health will regenerate within Flash Point Zones, changing how they navigate the map to stay alive. The event will also boast the debut of Caustic’s heirloom and more event-limited items.

In a video this morning, Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the Super Smash Bros. series, announced that Steve and Alex from Minecraft are the next playable fighters coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. Steve and Alex are part of the second Challenger Pack in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2, which also includes a new stage and seven music tracks from the Minecraft series. On October 3rd at 10:30 ET / 7:30 am PT, Sakurai will be back with a deep dive video that will reveal more details about Steve and Alex, including their release date.
CD Projekt Red has released a brand new Cyberpunk 2077 commercial featuring Keanu Reeves, who also portrays a major character in the game. Cyberpunk 2077 will release November 19th, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the version for Google Stadia set to launch the same year. The game will also be playable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 when available.

Activision today released the official Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War BTS Zombies trailer. Just like Multiplayer, squads in Zombies can be formed across platforms and generations, marking the first time in franchise history this co-op mode is available via cross-play and cross-gen.
Today, Ubisoft released a new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla story trailer offering players a new glimpse of Eivor, a fierce Viking raider torn between their duty to their brother Sigurd and a personal quest for glory. Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources, Eivor’s clan must secure a future among the kingdoms of England. During their journey, Eivor will face powerful figures including Saxon kings and the warmongering sons of Ragnar Lothbrok, as well as a mysterious, growing threat bound to England’s destiny.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on November 10th on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on PC, as well as on UPlay+ and Stadia. The game will release on PlayStation 5 alongside the launch of the console on November 12th, and will launch on Amazon Luna alongside the launch of the Ubisoft channel.
Perfect World Entertainment and Echtra Games today announced that Torchlight III, the light-hearted and fast-paced dungeon crawler, will exit Steam Early Access and officially launch on Steam, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 13th, and release on Nintendo Switch later this year. Players who have been hacking and slashing their way through the Steam Early Access version of Torchlight III will automatically be granted access to the full version. In addition, all versions of the game will include an exclusive Fairy pet for each platform.
