Valve today released a video that provides a quick look at some games being played with the prototype version of the Steam Controller – the same version that will be shipping to 300 Steam users later this year.
The Creative Assembly today announced that the fourth update for Total War: Rome II is now live.
With a total of 175 fixes and enhancements it’s by far the biggest Total War: Rome II update yet.
This update includes major AI improvements related to the constructions of new buildings, food supply management, creation of armies, technology researches and tactics used during battles, making the AI more organised and challenging. Further tweaks and improvements have been made to the diplomacy, missiles, melee units and much more.
The update is automatically applied to the game client upon restarting Steam.
Patch 5 will enter public beta next week, with further technical optimizations and improvements to gameplay, balance and usability to come.
From Paul Tobin, the writer of Bandette, with art by Joe Querio (Lobster Johnson, B.P.R.D.) and covers by Dave Johnson (100 Bullets), comes a comic based on The Witcher. Inspired by a series of novels, the comic series introduces a new adventure featuring Geralt of Rivia – a witcher, one of the few remaining monster hunters known from the video game franchise.
Witcher #1 will be available for purchase on March 19th, 2014 in comic shops nationwide.
Daedalic Entertainment today announced that Goodbye Deponia, the closing chapter in the Deponia trilogy, has gone gold and will release for PC via Steam on October 18th. Fans who pre-order the game before its release will receive a 10% discount, as well as a free copy of Chaos on Deponia, the most recent release from this adventure game series.
Kalypso Media today announced that the PC version of The Dark Eye – Demonicon, its fantasy action-RPG, has gone gold and will be available on October 25th for PC via Steam and other digital portals. Versions of The Dark Eye – Demonicon for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will follow in 2014.
Frictional Games has released the debut gameplay trailer for its upcoming sci-fi explorative horror, SOMA, coming to PC and PlayStation 4 in 2015.
Realta Entertainment today revealed Mike Ness of the band Social Distortion as the seventh legendary rocker featured as an in-game mentor for BandFuse: Rock Legends. The music video game will be available on November 19th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Given some of the recent technical issues during these first days of Grand Theft Auto Online, and now that things are starting to look much smoother, Rockstar Games is planning to provide a special stimulus package for all who have played or will play Grand Theft Auto Online this month. Rockstar will be dropping a cool half a million GTA$ in the GTA Online bank accounts of all players this month, starting as early as next week.
In order to keep the current in-game economy balanced, Rockstar will be providing this GTA$ to players via two deposits of $250,000. Rockstar will announce specific dates as soon as possible, but are currently hoping to be able to make the first deposit by the end of next week (after they’ve confirmed that issues causing game progress loss have been fixed) with the second installment to happen by the end of the month. For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, Rockstar hopes this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet.

Telltale Games has launched the Season Premiere of the five episode game series, The Wolf Among Us. Based on Bill Willingham’s comic book series ‘FAbles’ and licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Telltale Games brings the first episode, ‘Faith,’ to Xbox Games Store and PC from the Telltale Online Store and other digital distribution outlets. The series will also premiere on PlayStation Network on October 15th.
Activision has released a new trailer featuring Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Clans and Clan Wars.
Additionally, starting today through October 25th, fans can create and/or join a Call of Duty: Ghosts Clan prior to the game’s launch in November. Existing Call of Duty Elite Clan Leaders will be able to reserve their current Call of Duty Elite Clan Name as their Call of Duty: Ghosts Clan Name on a first-come, first-serve basis, as well as copy over and manage their existing Call of Duty Elite Clan Member roster. New players and players who don’t already have a Call of Duty Elite account can sign up for a free Call of Duty account to create their own Call of Duty: Ghosts Clan, or join an existing one.
