Outlast DLC Announced

Red Barrels today announced that its horror title Outlast has sold well enough that the team has started work on new DLC, with more details and a first look coming this Halloween, October 31st. The DLC will feature a new protagonist and storyline through which players can further explore the secrets that lie at the heart of Mount Massive Asylum. This Halloween also marks a promotion, starting today, through which players can purchase Outlast for a 33% discount and receive the soundtrack for free. The soundtrack is also available as a standalone download.

Need for Speed Rivals – Ultimate Cars, Speed and Rivalry Trailer

Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for Need for Speed Rivals. Zephyr and other racers risk it all while the Cops cross the line to stop them in the ultimate rivalry of the roads.

Need for Speed Rivals will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 19th.

PS4 Pop-Up Stores Open to Canadian Public This Week

Starting November 1st, residents of the Greater Toronto Area, Calgary and Montreal will get a chance to interact with the PlayStation 4 at a local mall.

Sony Computer Entertainment Canada is encouraging Canadians to visit the newly opened pop-up stores to play the PS4 ahead of the official launch on November 15th. Visitors will be able to test out the new DualShock 4 Wireless Controllers and play next-gen gaming titles including: Killzone: Shadow Fall, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Super Motherload, Contrast, Awesomenauts, Trine 2, Knack, and more.

The PS4 Experience will open on Friday, November 1st and will stay open during mall hours until January 5th. Locations include:

  • Toronto: Scarborough Town Centre, 300 Borough Drive
  • Montreal: Complexe Les Ailes, 677, rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, Montréal
  • Calgary: Southcentre Mall, 100 Anderson Rd SE

Those who attend will be able to register for an opportunity to win a PlayStation 4.

EA Sports and Tiger Woods End Video Game Deal

EA Sports has revealed it has ended its partnership with Tiger Woods, ending a deal that kept the superstar’s name and face on the golf video game for more than a decade. EA Sports said it will now work exclusively with the PGA Tour to create golf games.
