Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Reveals New Game Details and Surprise Releases

During the last Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase of the year, Nintendo provided information about a variety of games coming to the Nintendo Switch from development and publishing partners like Square Enix, Remedy Entertainment, Koei Tecmo Games and HAL Laboratory. Games featured in the video presentation include the RPG sequel Bravely Default II; farming and lifestyle sim Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town; Greek mythology-inspired action-adventure game Immortals: Fenyx Rising; Nintendo Switch versions of Hitman 3 and Control, which are both played via cloud-streaming technology; and over-the-top action game No More Heroes III. There was even the surprise reveal that the original No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, which originally released for the Wii, are now available exclusively in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase also announced that the puzzler Part Time UFO from HAL Laboratory, the developers of the Kirby series, as well as a free demo of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, are both now available in Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch.

Dungreed is Out Now on Switch and PS4

Nicalis today announced that Dungreed, an infinitely replayable 2D side-scrolling action game, has released for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Developed by Team Horay, the game lets players assume the role of an adventurer who must explore a continuously evolving dungeon in order to prevent the town and its citizens from being destroyed.

Elite Dangerous: Horizons Now Free to All Commanders

Frontier Developments announced today that Elite Dangerous: Horizons is now available for free for all owners of Elite Dangerous for download on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All the season content included in Horizons is now part of the Elite Dangerous base game including planetary landings and surface recon vehicles.

Horizons also features multicrew joint operations, weapon crafting, ship-launched fighters, permission to land at many surface star ports and other locations, as well as access to the coveted services of the elusive Engineers, offering countless new gameplay opportunities for all Commanders.

Players who previously purchased Horizons will receive an exclusive Azure paint job compatible with all 41 ships currently in game.

Visual Concepts Developers Break Down Next-Gen NBA 2K21 Gameplay

Today, Visual Concepts executive producer Erick Boenisch and gameplay director Mike Wang break down new next-gen gameplay in NBA 2K21. Commentating over new Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans gameplay footage captured directly from an in-progress build of NBA 2K21, Erick and Mike highlight several examples of what the team was able to achieve in the next-gen version of the game.

This Thursday, 2K will reveal new game modes and features exclusive to the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 and further down the road – a full unveil of NBA 2K’s online basketball community feature that replaces the experience known as the Neighborhood. NBA 2K21 will be released on November 10th for Xbox Series X|S and on November 12th for PlayStation 5.
