The NPD Group has released its report for the month of February. While software sales continued to be down 9% year over year in February, hardware sales were up 42%. PlayStation 4 continues to lead the way with 287,000 units sold, while the Xbox One sold 258,000 units in February, surpassing Xbox 360 sales by over 61% at the same point in time. Xbox 360 grew its install base with 114,000 units sold in February, more than any seventh generation console. Wii U hardware sales increased by nearly 25% over the same month last year, with 82,500 units sold.

XSEED Games today revealed the complete day one DLC for Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, the action RPG title available April 1st for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Among the DLC items are the “Gorgeous Headwear” and “Royal Ball Outfit” sets, which are new to Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, and which will be free for two months after launch and then available for purchase at $0.99 for the Royal Ball Outfit and $2.99 for all the costume pieces in the Gorgeous Headwear set. The “Ragnarok Online BGM Arrange Collection”, “Ragnarok Odyssey Collection” and “Grandia” set will be free, with additional items free to players of the original Ragnarok Odyssey and available for $0.99 for newcomers.
Nintendo today announced that starting March 21st, Wii U owners can download and play the Wii Sports Club game for free until March 23rd. This promotion includes free access to all three currently available Wii Sports Club sports (Golf, Bowling and Tennis) and is open to all Wii U owners, including those who have previously tried or have already downloaded Wii Sports Club. As an added bonus, the Resort Course, a new nine-hold course in Wii Sports Club – Golf that was originally featured in Wii Sports Resort, will be permanently added to the game via an update that is available today.
