The Walking Dead Season 2 – Episode 3 Trailer, Release Date

Telltale Games today announced that The Walking Dead: Season Two – Episode 3 ‘In Harm’s Way’ will be available for digital download starting May 13th on PC and PlayStation 3, and May 14th on Xbox 360.

Tropico 5 – Multiplayer Trailer

Majesco has released a new multiplayer trailer for Tropico 5. Will you forge a socialist utopia built on the love and support of your fellow friends? Or stamp out your cohorts one-by-one and rise above the ashes of the competition to rule as the only Presidente of Tropico?

Tropico 5 will be available for PC on May 23rd, for Xbox 360 this summer, and for PlayStation 4 this fall.

Monster Monpiece Coming to PS Vita on May 27th

Idea Factory International today announced that their first PlayStation Vita title, Monster Monpiece, will be available for digital download on May 27th via PlayStation Network for $29.99. Monster Monpiece is a card-battling strategy game with light RPG elements.

Killing Floor 2 Announced

Tripwire Interactive today announced that Killing Floor 2, the follow-up to 2009’s sci-fi horror, first-person shooter, is currently in development for PC and SteamOS.

In Killing Floor 2 players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union. Just one month after the events in the original Killing Floor, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.

Not all have given up hope though… A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.

NFL Draft Content Comes to Madden NFL 25

Last night, in celebration of the NFL Draft, EA Sports made every first-round selection available in Madden NFL 25 as a part of Madden Ultimate Team. Throughout the evening as players were selected, the Madden NFL development team went to work inserting new players into Ultimate Team packs and giving fans their first chance to play with the members of the 2014 first round Draft class.

Fans can now access highly-rated versions of the rookie players in Madden Ultimate Team, and those with special NFL Draft collectibles can upgrade to an even more game-changing version of the player. Each All-Pro pack in Madden Ultimate Team is guaranteed to contain at least one Draft-related item.

Madden NFL 15 Cover Vote Now Underway

Tonight at the NFL Draft, Electronic Arts and ESPN announced the details of the Madden NFL 15 Cover Vote. This year’s competition sees 16 of the brightest young stars in the game squaring off in a bracket to determine who will adorn the cover. Fans can now vote once per day at ESPN.com/maddenvote, and discuss and debate on social platforms such as @ESPNNFL and the NFL on ESPN Facebook page with the hashtag #MaddenCover. Every Thursday, the results of each round of voting will be announced during NFL Live at 4pm EST on ESPN accompanied by expert analysis and conversation. Players in the running will also make special appearances on ESPN programming and platforms throughout the vote, campaigning for their right to be on the cover of Madden NFL 15. The two finalists will appear and the overall winner will be announced live from LA Live Plaza in a special segment during the 6pm hour of SportsCenter on June 6th.

Titantall Expedition DLC Details – Swampland

Respawn Entertainment today revealed details on the final map from the upcoming Titanfall Expedition DLC pack. Entitled “Swampland”, head over to the Titanfall blog where Respawn’s Chris “Soupy” Dionne tells you the inspiration behind Swamplands.

Expedition is the first of three planned DLC packs for Titanfall, with each pack costing $9.99. Players can also purchase the Titanfall Season Pass for $24.99.

First Look at Sunset Overdrive

Microsoft and Insomniac Games today unveiled the first look at the world, story and gameplay of Sunset Overdrive through a new gameplay video. Alongside the video, Microsoft announced the first details for the Day One Edition of the game.

With an exclusive gun, melee weapon and in-game character outfit, the Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition is the package for fans who want to fight through the end of days with flair. The Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition features the following exclusive digital content:

• “Nothin’ but the Hits” gun: An overcharged version of the High Fidelity gun that launches limited edition, priceless, multi-colored vinyls that do increased damage.
• “It’s Me! Fizzie!” outfit: Fizzie is more popular than you because he has a great marketing budget. So, why not dress up as him and get in on some of that fame?
• “Hardcore! Hammer”: You ponder buying the Day One Edition of Sunset Overdrive. A spot check reveals that if you do, you can equip a mighty hammer made from a bat and spiked dumb-bells. You buy the Day One Edition of Sunset Overdrive.

The Future of Unreal Tournament Begins Today

Epic Games today shared news on the future of Unreal Tournament. The game’s development begins today in concert with Unreal Engine 4 developers, and the game will be free. In a blog post, Senior Programmer and Unreal Tournament Project Lead Steve Polge had this to say:

Here’s the plan:
• We’ve created a small team of UT veterans that are beginning work on the project starting today.
• From the very first line of code, the very first art created and design decision made, development will happen in the open, as a collaboration between Epic, UT fans and UE4 developers. We’ll be using forums for discussion, and Twitch streams for regular updates.
• If you are a fan and you want to participate, create a free account and join the forum discussion.
• All code and content will be available live to UE4 developers on GitHub.
• The game will be true to its roots as a competitive FPS.
• Development will be focused on Windows, Mac and Linux.

So what’s the catch?

• It will take many months until the game is playable by gamers. This is real development from scratch.
• When the game is playable, it will be free. Not free to play, just free.
• We’ll eventually create a marketplace where developers, modders, artists and gamers can give away, buy and sell mods and content. Earnings from the marketplace will be split between the mod/content developer, and Epic. That’s how we plan to pay for the game.

A lot of this is brand new for Epic, and we don’t yet have everything figured out. Things will probably definitely go wrong from time to time, and when they do, we’ll have to work through them together. There will be a lot of tough decisions to make, and not every feature will make it into the game. But if you’re a fan of Unreal Tournament, a UE4 developer, or a future modder – or if you just want to learn how we make games – we hope you’ll join us. It’s going to be fun.
