Disney Interactive announced the latest playable characters to appear in the 2.0 Edition of Disney Infinity – Merida and Maleficent. Merida and Maleficent are playable in the all-new Toy Box 2.0 mode of the game, along with all characters previously released for Disney Infinity.
Merida
With her untamed fiery red locks, this headstrong Disney•Pixar Princess will definitely leave her mark in Disney Infinity. Between her sharp sword and bow combo attacks with ricocheting arrows, she can upgrade her aim with elemental freeze arrows, freezing enemies in front of her then following up with rapid shots showing off her impressive athletic skills as an archer and sword fighter.
Maleficent
The wicked title character from the Walt Disney Studios film employs numerous magical powers and can attack using her magic in melee and ranged combat. To defeat enemies, Maleficent has the ability to utilize projectile and area of effect attacks that affect multiple targets within a specified area, brambles that she summons from the ground and ravens that she can call on to attack targets.
Both Merida and Maleficent will be available in retail stores this fall. Additional Play Sets and characters will be announced in the coming months.
Square Enix announced that the final mix versions of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep will be making their way to North America. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX allows players to have Sora go head-to-head with Roxas at the Station of Awakening. Players will also have access to secret boss battles, new weapons, abilities, mini-games and additional cutscenes that help explain the story of Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX also includes HD remastered cinematics from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, the game that sent Sora on an adventure in the digital world. With cutscenes and battles recreated from scratch for this HD remastered collection, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
Electronic Arts today announced that a demo of its upcoming MMA game EA Sports UFC will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 3rd. The demo lets you play a virtual rematch of UFC 165, featuring fighters Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson.
Kalypso Media today confirmed that due to a delay in the packaging manufacturing, the retail release of Tropico 5 on PC will now ship to stores nationwide on June 17th.
Activision and Infinity Ward today revealed the third DLC Pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Launching June 3rd first, exclusively on Xbox Live for Xbox One and Xbox 360, Call of Duty: Ghosts Invasion delivers four new multiplayer maps from locales around the world, each with hidden secrets and unique Field Orders. Invasion also includes “Episode 3: Awakening,” the next chapter in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative taking players deep into an alien underworld to discover the truth behind the Cryptid attack.
Invasion is available a la carte for $14.99, or as part of the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass, which gives fans access to all four Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Packs planned for release in 2014 – Onslaught, Devastation, Invasion and Nemesis – at the discounted price of $49.99.

Nintendo announced that tomorrow, Mario Kart 8 will race into stores nationwide and the Nintendo eShop on Wii U, bringing with it anti-gravity racing that finds players speeding upside down and along walls using karts and motorbikes, a variety of single- and multiplayer features, and high-definition graphics.
In advance of the launch of Sonic Boom, the newest branch of the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, Sega unveils Sticks, a brand-new character that will play an integral role across all Sonic Boom platforms. Sticks, a jungle badger who has spent most of her life living alone in the wilderness, will appear in the Sonic Boom TV series, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS video games, and merchandise, forming a common thread across all iterations of the new Sonic Boom world. Sticks joins Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy to form the core ensemble featured throughout the Sonic Boom franchise.
