Skylanders Trap Team will get a dose of girl power when Activision brings Gearshift to Portal Masters via a special pre-order program starting today. Gearshift is the latest character to be unveiled in the Skylanders Trap Team lineup and will be offered to Skylanders fans for pre-order at retailers while supplies last. This marks the first time fans will be able to get their hands on the Tech element character, months in advance of her official arrival at retail in 2015. Only a limited supply of Gearshift will be available for the October 5th launch of Skylanders Trap Team, so fans are encouraged to pre-order her today to guarantee they can get this collectible character at launch.
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware today announced the impending arrival of three new DLC chapters to Dark Souls II for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, known as The Lost Crowns Trilogy. Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in this DLC trilogy, will be available on July 22nd, followed by the DLC launches of Crown of the Old Iron King on August 26th and Crown of the Ivory King on September 24th. A Season Pass program will also be offered for the entire The Lost Crowns trilogy via Steam for PC players.
Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in the trilogy, sends players on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned. Crown of the Sunken King features an entirely different world within the Dark Souls II universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern. It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Players that seek adversity and glory will be rewarded with a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past.
Aksys Games has released the first in a series of developer diaries for XBlaze Code: Embryo. First up, Toshimichi Mori, the writer and executive producer of the game intimates how the worlds of XBlaze and BlazBlue may or may not be connected.
XBlaze Code: Embryo will be available for the PlayStation 3 later this year.
Ubisoft today announced that Tetris Ultimate will be available for digital download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 this summer to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Tetris, and will be available this fall on PC. Tetris Ultimate allows 1–4 players to face off in six different game modes: Marathon, Endless, Ultra, Sprint, Battle and Power-Up Battle.
Techland has released a new Dying Light trailer demonstrating the system of Natural Movement. This feature not only lets players move around the whole environment of the game easily and intuitively but also combine parkour-style movement with combat.
Dying Light will be available in February on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Electronic Arts today predicted that Germany will win the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. It was determined that Germany will defeat Brazil 2-1 at the Estádio do Maracanã on July 13th to win the country’s fourth FIFA World Cup, becoming the first European nation to win the FIFA World Cup on South American soil. Four years ago, EA Sports accurately predicted that Spain would prevail as the tournament champions.

In anticipation of this year’s E3, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new trailer for Gauntlet, the upcoming, modernized reboot of the arcade dungeon crawler. The new trailer highlights the game’s Relics system, allowing players to acquire deadly new abilities and unleash ancient powers.

Zen Studios have partnered with Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman to create an all-new digital pinball table based on The Walking Dead game series.
The Walking Dead Pinball table features choice-driven gameplay across each of Season One’s five episodes, along with original story dialogue from the cast. Scenarios include choosing who to save and who to leave behind in a walker attack, solving problems and keeping up morale within the group, searching for food and supplies, acquiring important tools, and navigating through the herd amidst an oncoming walker breach.
The Walking Dead Pinball table will be available for download later this summer on Zen Studios pinball platforms across consoles and PC.
