Chariot Arrives Next Week

Frima Studio announced that its couch co-op platformer Chariot will arrive on PlayStation 4 on September 30th and Xbox One on October 1st, with launch dates for Wii U and Steam to be revealed soon.

In Chariot, a princess and her fiancé descend through the royal catacombs in order to find a burial place worthy of His Majesty. By using carefully selected power-ups and relying on their wits, players must learn how to solve each challenge ahead in order to proceed on the journey of an afterlife.

Stronghold Crusader 2 Launches

Firefly Studios announced that the castle building sequel Stronghold Crusader 2 is now available on Steam, with a Special Edition that includes Stronghold Crusader HD, ‘The Art of Stronghold Crusader 2’ digital art book and full soundtrack composed by Robert Euvino.

FIFA 15 Ships

Electronic Arts announced that FIFA 15 is available in retail stores nationwide, and as a digital download on Origin.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Ships

Disney Interactive and Marvel have launched Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes. The game is available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and the Wii U.

The Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack features the 2.0 game software, the Disney Infinity 2.0 Base, Marvel’s The Avengers Play Set with three character figures (Iron Man, Black Widow and Thor), two Toy Box Game Discs, a web code card and the all-new Toy Box 2.0. Marvel’s Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy Play Sets, along with additional figures from those worlds, will be sold separately. All characters and Power Discs from last year’s release of Disney Infinity are compatible with Toy Box 2.0.

Defense Grid 2 Released

505 Games and Hidden Path Entertainment announced the launch of Defense Grid 2, the sequel to the 2008 tower defense game, Defense Grid: The Awakening. Defence Grid 2 introduces new worlds and threats to test player’s tower placement strategies in single-player mode, online player-versus-player and multiplayer co-op campaigns.

Defense Grid 2 is priced at $24.99 for digital download on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A special edition is also available on Steam for $29.99 and includes the digital book, The Art of Defense Grid 2; the ebook, The Making of Defense Grid 2: The Complete Story Behind the Game by Russ Pitts; and additional content including “A Matter of Endurance,” a new original audio story written by author Mary Robinette Kowal and performed by the English voice cast.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – Narrated Walkthrough

2K and Gearbox Software have released a narrated gameplay walkthrough of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Watch the walkthrough of Nisha the Lawbringer, as experienced from PAX Prime 2014 and narrated by James Lopez, Producer at Gearbox and Joel Eschler, Producer at 2K Australia.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be available on October 14th.

Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass Details

Ubisoft detailed the contents of the Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity. From the busy streets of Paris to the dark and rural city of Saint Denis, the season pass allows players to further explore Arno’s story. Players will also be introduced to Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, a new Assassin’s Creed saga that takes players on adventures to lands and time periods previously unexplored by the franchise.

The Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass contains:

• Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings – a new story campaign that takes place after the events of Assassin’s Creed Unity. Arno leaves Paris for Saint Denis, a troubled city with a mysterious and extensive underground that holds the crypts of deceased French kings. In this self-contained set of missions, players will explore the murky depths of the Basilica and fight merciless adversaries to uncover the darkest secrets of the city. Arno will equip the new Guillotine gun, a deadly explosive weapon for short and long range combat. In addition to the main missions, players will discover new open-world activities including treasure hunts, murder mysteries and contracts, as well as new co-op missions. Additional weapons, gear, skills and outfits can be unlocked and carried over to the main game.
• Extend Arno’s journey in Paris with more missions, weapons and customization options for players looking to further explore Assassin’s Creed Unity and the French Revolution. Players can upgrade their customized Master Assassin and take on three added missions. Additionally, players will get over 30 new weapons, equipment, and outfits, including the exclusive Fleur de Lys sword on launch day.
• Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China – a new stand-alone Assassin’s Creed experience delivering a new story, setting, and gameplay type. In this 2.5D re-imagining of the franchise developed by Climax Studios, players will perform parkour on the Great Wall of China, kill from the shadows and take the leap of faith. For the first time ever, players will be transported to the Middle Kingdom in the 16th century, where the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood has returned to her homeland. Players will be immersed in a vibrant setting, inspired by traditional brush paintings and Chinese architecture from a pivotal, historic time period in one of the greatest civilizations in history. Hell-bent on revenge, Shao Jun will use the skills she learned under legendary Assassin Ezio Auditore to exact vengeance. Players will be able to rely on stealth to accomplish their mission, as well as Shao Jun’s martial arts training and all-new Assassin gear.

Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass grants access to all of the aforementioned content, which will all be released by early 2015. Customers who pre-order the Season Pass from participating partners will also receive the exclusive double-handed war axe.
