2K announced that, starting today, PC players can pre-load Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth, which releases on Friday, October 24th. Additionally, if you’re looking to satisfy that Civ itch while you wait, PC players on Steam can play Sid Meier’s Civilization V for FREE starting now through October 23rd at 10:00am PDT.
Ubisoft today detailed the Season Pass for Far Cry 4. The Season Pass includes new missions that can be completed in either single-player or co-op. Content includes a Season Pass exclusive day-one mission, prison break from Durgesh in an open world survival mode for single player and co-op, exclusive missions with Hurk and his harpoon gun, a new PvP mode that will have friends teaming up to fight opposing forces and a chance to encounter the rarest beast in the Himalayas – yetis.

Priced at $29.99, the Season Pass offers a savings of 20% compared to buying each piece of content individually and will be available with the launch of Far Cry 4 on November 18th. Once purchased, the Season Pass enables the download of all included Far Cry 4 add-on content packs as they become available. Additionally, the Gold Edition, which includes Far Cry 4 and the Season Pass, is now available for pre-order on PlayStation and PC for $89.99, and is coming soon to Xbox One.
Starting today, Steam users can pre-purchase Techland’s upcoming open-world zombie action game Dying Light in a special 4-Pack bundle. At a price of three games, players receive four copies of Dying Light, one for them and three giftable extra copies for their friends.
Dying Light will be released on January 27th.
2K has released the second episode of “The Making of WWE 2K15,” which continues the inside look into the game’s development. The second installment in the series, titled “The Game Has Changed,” features WWE Superstar Cesaro, along with NXT Superstars Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn, performing their signature moves in the motion capture ring. Complementing their efforts, Executive Producer Mark Little, Art Director Lynell Jinks and Senior Designer Bryan Williams discuss their vision for key gameplay changes, including controls, match pacing and camera positions.
WWE 2K15 will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 28th, and for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18th.
Square Enix unveiled the upcoming expansion to Final Fantasy XIV at its inaugural Fan Festival event in Las Vegas this past weekend.
Titled “Heavensward,” the upcoming chapter of the online Final Fantasy title will chart a new course for players with an increased level cap, brand new adventures and challenges, and much more.
More information on the game expansion will be shared during the London and Tokyo events, scheduled for October 25th and December 20nd – 21st, respectively.
343 and Microsoft have announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection has gone gold and will release on November 11th.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will take up almost all of the usable space of a single Blu-ray, so the game will require a content update at launch that is estimated to be 20 GB. You’ll be able to start playing Campaign and more as the content is installing, with some features and multiplayer content being added via the update.
One caveat is that Spartan Ops, the episodic co-op experience from Halo 4, will now release in December.
Activision has released the Official Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Gameplay Launch Trailer. The game will be available on November 4th.
